This awesome Fun Sport Play yard comes in at a whapping, compacted 22lbs. When pulled out of box, it is in it's own bag like a folding chair. when pulled from the bag it is still neatly held together by it's inner bottom by Velcro around it. Once you take this off you simply leave the center up and pull each side rail up until your hear a double click. Then you can push the center down, take the bottom (which is very well padded, easy to clean material, has a Velcro at each corner), Place it in bottom of play yard, Velcro it to the bottom of play yard through the pre-slits design and you are ready to go. Now this play yard has two wheels on one side at bottom which makes for very easy rolling it around the house, yard, wherever you may be. This play yard is a very compact unit when closed back up which makes it a great space saver for traveling. It was very well designed and I think it's great.
The play yard is just the basic, but it certainly has everything you need for an infant or toddler. The design is very bold and vivid with colors that get the child's attention. There is plenty of room for the child's toys inside with lots of room for child, too. It's super easy to assemble. It took less than 10 minutes to put together. It has a thick pad for the bottom that you can Velcro in and it does not slip or slid when you put baby into it. It is made of quality materials and I think it's going to be very durable. It is lightweight and has rollers on one end, so it is very easy to move around your house. The travel bag is roomy and the play yard folds easily to slip right into the bag that has two handles for easy carrying. Folded up and in the bag, it takes up very little room in your car or closet. I would recommend this play yard to anyone who needs a basic play yard.
This is an excellent portable crib and play yard. It is especially remarkable at the price. Also remarkable is the number of patterns and colors that are available. Our grandson has used this as a bed for sleepovers even though he is approaching 3 years of age. The one inch “mattress” may be getting thin for his weight but we have not received any complaints. My wife thinks this particular pattern and color set is better suited for a girl. I think it works either way. This thing is very sturdy and it shows in the weight - meaning it's heavy. However, other brands are even heavier. It is a cinch to set up. Just leave the center post up (unlocked), snap all of the side arm to lock, and finally push down on the center post. Taking the thing down for transport is another matter. Although the instructions say essentially reverse the set up steps, there is usually a problem with one or more of the arms of the thing not getting tucked in properly. Once the arms are all tucked in, you need to wrap the mattress around the play yard and thread some Velcro straps through belt loops. All of this means you have to get down on the floor and wrestle with the contraption to get it properly stowed. The carrying bag is made from very thin material and it seems that it will get torn up pretty fast. We will see. Still, for the price, you are getting an excellent piece of baby furniture.
This pack and play is awesome. Even though it doesn't come with the top part for when the babies are really little, this is still amazing! I love the colors! They are so bright and easy for a young infant or toddler to stare at for easy eye coordination and viewing the different colors.I did have a little trouble getting the pack and play down. I had to use the directions because this pack n play is updated.Which is a good thing. No child will ever be able to figure out how to get the bars down, as for the older ones, which had bottoms.The bars on this one has grip handles on each bar you just squeeze ! genius! I would recommend this product to any one. easy to put up and take down. comes with a bag. so its very portable.
1st -I have to say that I was so surprised and thrilled that this Play-yard is so sturdy & heavy – (for me anyway). Wasn't so bad after I removed it from the box and put it together though. It comes folded up and the mattress is folded in a square to wrap around the frame & is held together with velcro. There is also a cover/case with handles for the folded play yard in for easy carrying/traveling. The bottom of the mattress has the assembly instructions printed plus has a pocket where the sheet of assembly instructions, after folded, are kept. So you never have to forget how to put it together and close it up. The mattress is well padded & is a 100% polyurethane foam pad. My 1st picture shows a stuffed monkey (because the baby isn't here yet) and the 2nd picture shows the Bottom of the play yard where you can see the 2 wheels on one side with 2 stands on the other side & you can pick up that side to roll the play yard. On the bottom you can see the sturdy frame that also includes a stand in the middle and on each of the long sides. (I wanted you to see this so you would understand how it is so sturdy – as well as the sturdiness of the frame parts.) This is not only very sturdy but very easy to put together. You simply undo the velcro (mattress) which is holding the frame together – then put the mattress to the side. Then simply follow the directions. Just make certain that each side is completely up & you hear a 'pop' (the first time, one wasn't so I had to undo all & begin over by pulling the middle up) When all the sides are straight, you just push the middle part down. Then you lay the mattress in the middle & hide the velcro underneath - so baby doesn't try to chew on it. The top of the rails is patted & the same pattern as the mattress and the corners are a sturdy plastic. I think that if taken care of (not thrown around or big kids get inside) this will last be around for another baby or more. --------------------------------------------------------------- [my sister went to bed & I stayed up to put both reviews here - instead of waiting til her laptop was available tomorrow - I sent an email explaining]
I am happily surprised with my Cosco Funsport Play Yard. I have another inexpensive play yard that I use and I was in need of another one for our basement. I was concerned the Cosco Funsport was going to be similar to my Evenflo Play Yard which has lower sides than some other yards. This is less of a concern on the carpet but in the basement it's concrete and my daughter is a climber so high sides are a must. We were using the Graco large square play yard in the basement but it was just too large and taking up much needed space. Now that my daughter is a toddler, I only need her in the play yard for short periods of time to clean-up and load and unload the laundry. The Cosco Funsport is perfect. It's a small rectangle shape with high sides. I love that it has wheels on one side for easy moving around the room. When it's in the carrying bag it's not as lightweight and compact as the Evenflo but still much smaller than a full size square play yard. It's a cinch to open and lock and unlock the sides with a very easy push down middle. The mat inside is a good thickness, easily velcros to the yard and seems sturdy and even under my little ones feet. They even thought to add a pocket under the mat to keep the directions with the play yard. I wish they had a second pocket for the carry bag underneath the play yard for easy storage like the directions. Overall, I love the grey color and pattern and it's working wonderfully for our small space.
I am currently using this for my grandson but I think it would be great for a boy or girl. My grandson is 15 months and he loves playing in it and I use it for his bed when he spends the night with Nana. The bottom pad has a good cushion. This play yard is just as nice and sturdy as the expensive Graco pack n play I bought my daughter. The product is very reasonable in price. Set up can be difficult if you don't use the instructions. They are on the back of the pad. I would not start setting this up without them. Once you read the instructions it's easy to set up and take down. I love that this play yard is so roomy yet folds into this nice small item that fits into a carrying case. It's compact and sturdy so it is a little heavy to carry for a long distance. The material on both the play yard and carry case are very good.
I love this Cosco Funsport Play Yard! I followed the directions on the bottom of the mattress and it was so easy to assemble! This is a perfect size to take with you when visiting friends and family. There are so many benefits to having this Play Yard. Of course there are the benefits of having baby safe yet comfortable on the padded mattress for an afternoon nap, or to have a place that the baby's toys stay clean and all together waiting for playtime. When the baby starts standing, I am pleased that all joints have been covered by the same padded material as the trim on the mesh covering all areas that a little one could get pinched or injured in any way. The ease of assembly and the dismantling of the play yard, returning it to the carry bag for compact transporting is one of the best features making it easy to take anywhere, anytime. I would recommend this Play Yard by Cosco to anyone waiting for that bundle of joy. It can be used from infancy to young toddler. The portability and small size makes it's uses many and very flexible.
This is just a basic, bare bones play yard. There's nothing fancy about it, except the beautiful design. With that being said, it is quite versatile and convenient. It is easy to set up and take down and comes with its own carrying bag. This makes for easy transport on trips or extended stays elsewhere. Great to have as a back up at grandma's house. It is well made and seems to be well padded for comfort, which is a plus for sleeping babies. It is also easy to clean with a quick wipe down. We all know those spills and messes that accompany our little ones. While you could opt for more well known name brands that make similar play yards, you could also spend less for almost the same product and buy this brand. Cosco has stepped up to the challenge of making great products, and this one is no different. Why pay more?! The bottom line is this, a great play yard, beautiful, eye catching design and cost efficiency are what people are looking for in today's economy. It really is a no-brainer, in my honest opinion. I DO recommend this product and I would buy this product again.
This play yard came with a lot of small holes at the seams. The center of the play yard when put together is raised and the mat doesn't lay flat due to the part being raised. The mat also broke in one area. The boards are cheap and separate. Mat moves and can be lifted up even though all four straps are in. $57 is not worth it seeing how graco can be $45 and last for over 7 years. This play yard lasted 3 months or so. I have 4 kids and my youngest is barely 9 months old and barely started standing yesterday 8/26/21. How is this possible to break? He's 19lbs! Walmart read the reviews and take this play yard off the market. Mesh is weak too. I'm super disappointed.
