This die is handy for SO MANY things: Straps, squares, borders, without wasting time to cut them! It has saved my hand from much aggravation as well!
WOW, never would have thought that something I enjoy in Quilting, and teach geometry with could be used to save lives! It was used to make 150 masks for my neighborhood. I have a lot of elderly around me and I placed a mask and gloves in a ziplock bag in each every mailbox. I would have not been able to do this in one weekend without the go cutter die. Do not hesitate in buying the strip dies!
Used this 6 1/2 strip cutter with the 4 1/2 to make a baby quilt with blocks of 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 squares and rectangles. The parent's-to-be loved it.
I especially like this 6 1/2 inch die because I recently cut my left index finger using a rotary cutter and it really frightened me because it was such a deep cut. I had to have 6 stitches to close the deep chunk of my finger. With this die, I can cut the long strips, squares and rectangles with ease. Thanks.
I recently purchased the 6 1/2 strip die for a quilt project. Since I am new to quilting I did not feel comfortable cutting strips with a rotary cutter. The 6 1/2 strip die performed great. I have a friend who don't quilt either and she used the Accuquilt Go and the 6 1/2 die to cut the same quilt. She love it. Since I wanted a quilting buddy and she was so excite about the ease, and speed the Accuquilt can cut fabrics. I gave her my Go and I have plans of buying another one. Including the 6 1/2 die.
i admit i held off buying any strip cutters until i was making face masks for medical and civilian use. This makes short work of cutting a precise 6.5 inch strip selvedge to selvedge, which can be then cross cut to make pleated masks easily. it also makes a PERFECT 6 inch finished square for... ah... replacing toilet paper with washable flannel.
The 6 1/2 Strip Cutter is an amazing addition to my collection. I use it for boarders, cutting rectangular shapes that can be machine or hand embroidered on, and excellent for quilt patterns using rectangular shaped pieces. It is a regularly used die! Love It!
This is yet another strip cutter in my collection. Just when you think you have all you need you realize you don't. This is a great one to have on hand for getting your fabrics ready for cutting, sub cutting and making perfect squares in nothing flat! As with all dies strip cutters are really universal.
The 6.5" strip can be used in so many ways! As a wide border; a part of a design and cut into 6.5" squares. It is an excellent addition to my set and perfect for a "fast" quilt using larger parts. Imagine a larger square built from the outside in starting at the 6" frame!
These products make quilting so much easier, and what a time-saver! They're also much cheaper on Walmart.com than anywhere else you may find them.
