I bought these tiles for a workout corner I was setting up in my living room. I purchased two packs so it was a total of eight tiles all measuring 24 x 24" a piece. They were easy to put together and it didn't take much effort to trim a couple of the corners to create my ideal space. The tiles are soft and have a nice cushioned feel for my workouts making it incredibly nice to be on the floor during my sets.
I haven't spent much time standing on these tiles, so I can't say how they'll do for standing on them for any length. I got the ones with a gray/brown wood-grain look. They look really nice (the picture below shows them against a dark brown wood floor). The grain can be arranged so it all goes one direction or you can alternate for a more patterned look. They interlock easily and they come with edging pieces that "round off" the corners and give it a straight edge for a finished look. These will likely be used in the garage in a work area but I can see using them under the throw rugs my dogs like to lie on for some extra cushioning, too. They aren't as thick as some, so you can set things on them and it's unlikely they'll topple over because of the amount of cushion. They're about as thick as a pair of regular flip flops (the ones with a little but not too much cushioning).
These interlocking floor tiles are soft yet resilient. They are easy to install. They are like giant jigsaw puzzle pieces. Each square measures 24” x 24”. You get four pieces in a pack. When assembled they cover an area 4' x 4'. They can be cut for custom installations. They are made from a durable EVA foam. They are for indoor use only. They are easy to clean. They are water resistant. They are charcoal color. They are great for any place with hard floors or concrete floors that you stand for prolonged periods of time like garages, workshops, washrooms, exercise areas, basements, etc. I placed mine on the concrete floor in front of the washer and dryer in the basement. It feels so much nicer to stand there now while loading, unloading, and folding clothes. These interlocking foam anti fatigue tiles work great!
When I'm in the kitchen whether it's doing dishes cooking or even cleaning my feet get tired. Standing on the hard tile can really put a strain on your feet and back. They are anti fatigue to help prevent fatigue when standing. They can be used almost everywhere and used on any hard floor surface or concrete. They can be cut to any size needed. These are easy to clean and are water resistant. I am using mine to create an exercise area on the one side of my laundry area. I just scrub over them as I do my entire floor and they look nice. They are great for when I jump rope or hula hoop. I also have a balance board and use this area for that, as well. I would recommend these interlocking tiles to anyone that has a high activity area in their home, any area where you stand frequently and for long periods. Also, for children's play areas.
Loving these anti-fatigue mat. I have a small business that I stand as long as the store is open. My feet can't take it anymore. I installed it the long way across the counter and it's been working great. It's been a month and they have held up pretty good. I gave it a wipe and I inspected them and they look good. Actually made me realized I didn't line up the pattern. hehe. How I missed it for so long is beyond me. As for the material, it's made out of a foam with texture circles on the bottom. It's pretty grippy. The side that I stand on have the wood pattern laminated on it and that's a little slippery on socks. Not a problem with shoes. I'm surprise I can feel the difference through my shoes. The floor under is carpet over concrete.
I received this item for the purpose of review. These anti-fatique floor tiles are NOT non-slip. Keep that in mind. There is a fake wood floor in a dark espresso color coating on the top of them. They're not really "charcoal" which would be more gray/black. These are dark espresso or walnut color.... I placed them in a runner pattern in front of our W/D in our unfinished basement. Keep in mind, we live in an 60's ranch so nothing fancy here. They track terribly. I can see every footprint. We have a small woodshop in our basement so unfortunately, there is dust in the air in the basement even with dust collection. So these mats show footprints. Good size. Each tile is 24" Placed in a runner pattern, it will cover a full 8 feet in length. They are kind of slick. Extremely lightweight and do not bend or give very much. If you try to bend them, the top coating wrinkles up. I sort of anchored them underneath the W/D so they can't really slide around on a bare cement floor. If they're not braced, they move around easily so keep that in mind. I definitely do not consider them as heavy duty. Interlocking shows and doesn't stay put very well. See photo of how the seams show. One good thing is that they clean up easily with spray cleaner or even just a damp cloth. That MIGHT work in a child's play area. They may work in light traffic areas but I would NOT recommend them for high traffic like a workshop or garage. No way they will hold up. We no longer have pets so I cannot confirm whether they will hold up under pet claw traffic. May puncture or tear easily but I did not test this. Also will not be able to confirm certain shoe traffic like spike heels or cleats. I wear slippers in the house or smoother sole sneakers so that's the only traffic so far that has been tested. They feel good under foot & provide cushion on a concrete floor. I appreciate having them though because it gives us better footing (for now) in front of our older W/D. Time will tell about how long they will really last. Overall a solid 4 stars if used in the right application.
Achim Interlocking Foam Anti Fatigue Floor Tiles, 4 Tiles/16 Sq. ft., 24 x 24, Charcoal These are 4 tiles of 2'x2' or 24”x24” foam to comfort your feet on hard floors. They go together really easy like a puzzle as you see in the picture and you get 8 border pieces to hide the puzzle piece ends. I got the charcoal (brownish) color and have placed them in front of my washer and dryer in a row out in the garage and on top of carpet I have out there. I also have a rug runner I will place on top of the tiles to maximize comfort. As you can see in my picture, I have all four in a row, but I will probably remove one of them so they fit better in relationship to the size of the washer and dryer and the 8 border pieces will cover every end piece. Hey, if you are going to be on your feet for longer periods of time, might as well be comfortable. I personally haven't had to stand out there long enough to really get the feel of the benefit, but my GF says they do help out. If you have sensitive feet and stand on hard floors for a long period of time, I can see these being of some good benefit.
These tiles seem to be a little thin but they do help. I have a work table on a concrete floor and these tiles made it a little more comfortable to stand at the table for about 30 minutes. Only time will tell if they last with regular use. I like that they are tiles so you can arrange them for a square, rectangle, or even around a corner, and they come with the edge strips so you have a smooth edge. The surface is a wood-flooring pattern which look nice, and would look good in a kitchen or other room as well as a work room.
Have been looking for some of these for a while and this set is really good. When you stand all day in 1 spot pretty much on a hard floor the legs pay the price. These are such a welcome addition to the work area it's fantastic. Extremely easy to put together and they look quite nice. These are made for indoors and they are made of a very soft foam. They do not slip at all on my floor and if needed you could cut these to fit your needs. Not sure on the quality yet but as of right now I am pretty sure they will last a while. You could use them in the laundry room or on any hard surfaces that are hard on the legs. At this time I highly recommend these as they workl great after a few days of use.
