Good instructions. I already had a similar outdoor sensor (which died from age); so it was easy to hang the new sensor. The wireless range is more than hoped for. Having the moon phase is very helpful. It has now trained itself to predict our local weather, and it is doing fine.
The weather station display is compact and accurate and the battery power is especially ideal for placement on a wall without wires showing. This is our second AcuRite weather station, our first lasted over 15 years.
I use a single sensor to communicate with the weather station/display and an AcuRite Access. The feature that makes this setup truly functional is the ability to download temperature and humidity history.

I've had a couple other weather stations and this by far the best one. The first didn't like cold days, the 2nd was solar powered so you could only get a reading if you turned the lights on. This one has so many different features that I am really enjoying and was super easy to set up and use.
Compared to my defunct unit I find myself somewhat disappointed with the new. The new unit performs well ,as advertised. There was a small glitch when the outside temp etc. was 'stuck' for about a week. :( I changed the sending and receiving units to a different 'channel' and all worked again.. :) My disappointment is, unlike the previous model I enjoyed, (which apparently was discontinued) this model does not have an adjustable stand so the angle is off when set upon my counter. Also it lacks the ability to be momentarily back lit and the temperature numbers could be a bit larger. Both models were wireless as I don't care for another plug and cord on my kitchen counter. I expect years of service from this unit as my previous unit would probably still be working had I not dropped it and kicked it around the floor.
I find that this is accurate but the display is a little hard to read from across the room (11' away). The light grey background with the dark grey LCD numbers make it hard to read unless you are square to it. If the background was white, it would be a lot easier. I wish the numbers were a little larger and I really only wanted something that showed indoor and outdoor temp. Humidity reading is okay. All the rest is a waste of space for my purposes. But I couldn't one like that in stock for a reasonable price. I'll keep this one for now.

I have enjoyed an AcuRite weather station for years and the outside sensor box overheated. I ordered from the company hoping to get the same kind of weather station I had. This weather station that y'all sent me did not plug into electricity nor did the face light up. I tried the new one but I had to send it back, I couldn't read it from across the room. I went to post office to send it back and was charged $12.00 for shipping. Is there anyway y'all could just replace my outside sensor for my old weather station?? Look on my previous email for photo and model number. Thanks, Debbie
