I got to of these one for me and 1 for my dad put the battery's in and that was it don't go by other reviews try it I going to today and get one for my brother.
I bought this to replace an indoor/outdoor gauge which finally stopped working after many years but is no longer available. This new one was easy to assemble and install. I have had it for about a month and the outdoor reading corresponds well to what the temperature reports for our area are on-line and on the local TV weather reports. The indoor temperature is within 1 degree of what our ac/furnace control reads. So far it has worked perfectly, including the time and date functions. The outdoor portion is installed on a covered, but not enclosed, patio so it is protected from rain and out of the sun. We are in the Houston area, so this gauge is working fine in some very hot and humid conditions.
I purchased this indoor outdoor temp. thermometer for rv. My thermostat is not very accurate and I wanted to know what the outdoor temp was outside while at campsite especially where I don't get signal for phone apps. works great, just install batteries and go, no setting time or date. awsome!
I had spent $30 on 2 weather stations in the past that just give the same info as this little gadget does. I see no reason to spend more - this is "close enough" - I've checked it against a $30 model I have & the temps are within 1 degree.(I just got it, so I can't say how well it'll hold up)
This inexpensive workstation works well. It may be off a few degrees but it's close enough that I know how to dress when I get up in the a.m. I didn't want anything fancy, just to know the outdoor /indoor temp. I would recommend for someone who didn't need to know the forecast and other things that more expensive ones do.
Just install the batteries and it's good to go. Only negative feature is the flashing red LED on the transmitter that goes outside which serves no purpose other than to attract someone to take it. I covered it with black electrical tape. Otherwise it's 5 stars.
I've had it for a couple of months now and no problems. It has a nice sized display- I can read it from across the room. It has indoor / outdoor temps and will show the high and low at the touch of a button plus it shows the time and date. My previous thermometer had to be switched back and forth for the indoor or outdoor temp so this one is a real luxury. The temps are always within 1 degree of the local weather report. My remote unit is about 50 feet away and I get a good strong signal.I feel like it's a real bargain at the price.
We've had this wireless thermometer by Acu-Rite for about 1 year now. We've replaced batteries once. We've found it to be very accurate and useful for guiding dressing the kids in the morning. I made an unboxing video and review. See it here. For the price, this is a good, basic unit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAa0iAr9gaM
I'V HAD THIS ABOUT 3 MONTHS,INSTALD THE BATTERYS,IT AUTOMATICLY SET IT SELF,HUNG THE OUTDOOR UNIT ON A TREE ABOUT 50 FT AWAY AND THAT WAS IT. CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE
Works ok. I haven't found the right spot for the sensor yet, as it seems to register too warm. When I purchase my next one, I'll make sure I get one that has lighting on the screen, so it can be seen. Also, I've not been able to set the monitor where I would like, because it seems to be affected by wifi and internet connections, according to the manufacturer.
