After 7 years in the harsh outdoor environment my Iris 5in1 sensor needed to be replaced. I was able to buy a sensor with a wireless display on sale for less than a sensor alone. The new display reads 1 degree higher than my color display on outside temp?? Works great otherwise.
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mother, now in her 80s, who likes to track and see rain and weather info. This was very easy to setup and and it has been easy for her to read and use. It's way cool looking. I wish I had bought one for myself.
I have had several of these over the years. They are inexpensive, acurate, and hold up well in severe weather. I live in a hurricane prone area and run 2 heads at a time. I also keep one for mobile use while camping or on a public service event.
I purchased this to replace an Iris that no longer measured the rain after five years. It's perfect timing as the rainy season has begun. I love being able to track the rain as well as the other weather items. Now I have a second monitor as well.
Very happy with my AcuRite Iris weather stain after my LaCrosse unit failed. Simple, compact and, so far, reliable. Offers all the important measurements at a very reasonable price. Very pleased!
This is the second 5-in-one station I have bought. The first went out this summer with a bad humidity sensor. Both my wife and I depend on the information this give us. And it turns out, so do our neighbors who have asked for what reading we had during a recent storm.
This is our second Accu-Right weather station. We had the last one for about 20 years and got this new one with the rain gauge feature. Both have been very satisfactory and we recommend it to anyone looking for a weather station. Keep up the good work!
At this point I have absolutely no complaints, everything works as advertised. In fact this is the 4th or 5th one I have purchased over the years for myself or gifts, everyone seems well pleased. I particularly like having the ability to tap into the information when traveling so I may check the weather at home.
I use the Iris to connect to 6 other sensors. The Acurite Iris disconnects at random times and reconnects randomly too. I have been using my previous Acurite for years and this never happened.
I have had two other units that died after around 3 to 4 years. I decided to try a different model. This model is almost worthless.
