Most weather stations today are impossible to program. The Acu-Rite weather station is simple to program....basically programs itself! This is our second one in 25 years.
I bought one several years ago and liked. This is my second one and I am enjoying it very much. Very accurate!
I have always wanted a non color weather station with atomic clock, high and low temperatures for the day and battery operated only. This has all of those features. The indoor and outdoor temperatures are extremely accurate. It has a built in stand or it can be hung on a wall. This is a well built weather station that I am very pleased with.

It's still hard to read across the room, probably a lack of contrast. It also doesn't tell if the temp is going up or down. Otherwise it is fine.
Having trouble getting the outside temperature right. Have moved it several times and it still is not right! Our last one was exactly alike but the outdoor sensor quit working!
It's a nice weather station for the money. It would be better if it lighted up, so you could see it better
Says Acurite 8 inch, product assembled specifications says over 10 inches and when i actually measured, its less than 8 inches @ 7.75 inches. Completely wrong and extremely frustrated!
I have found this unit to be very inaccurate. Sometimes it reports as much as 12 degrees warmer than actual, other times, the same day it reports it 5 degrees cooler than actual. The calibration feature is useless in this situation. Save your money and buy a more reliable unit!
Should have taken this out of the box and checked it out before giving it as a gift for Christmas. Person opened it and the screen is cracked. It was shipped in a single box with barely any padding. Now I'm past the 30 day return window because I ordered this and received it back on November 17th. Very frustrating. Having ordered this through Walmart.com, I don't even see how to contact the company that sent it for a replacement.
