I got 3 of these for my kids and they GREAT! I don't know what CSIgreetings is talking about. If it shot up like a rocket. They must have got to close to the power line and over charge the unit. After all this is a inside toy! One thing to keep in mine, if you do get more then one make sure you buy them all on a different frequency channel. There are 4 channels, A, B, C and D. It is listed on the outside of the box. If you don't 1 controller will operate 2 units at the same time.
If you lost your helicopter because you were trying to fly it outdoors it's because you didn't take 2 seconds to read the box. You don't even have to read the instructions to know that it is an indoors helicopter. Great cheap RC helicopter, even my 4 year old can fly it with no problem.
Purchased this little RC Helicopter for $10.00 on sale from Walmart.com.. Flies great for the price and flies like the bigger higher priced RC Helicopters I've flown in the past. I would say for the money you can't go wrong and would recommend this to a friend as a great little starter Helicopter.
My 8 year old loves this!
I bought 3 for my nephew and nieces for Christmas. All the adults ended up playing with it, was a blast. Now I am buying 3 more all for adults. Just a side note it does say on the directions it is an indoor toy and not to use it outside.
This is a great product for beginners. It is very durable. The only disappointment is that two of our helicopters use the same channel and only one can be flown at a time.
We bought this for our 5-year-old. It's a good one for those learning controls and has stood up to some decent crashes. We've only had it a week, so we can't speak to the longevity, but we've been pleased so far.
It just spins around on the ground and when it does fly it takes off to the right no matter what I do.
This is a nice looking toy to get as a gift or treat but the functionality of these is poor at best. There is also a lack of description on the box to explain some important things about these toys. First you have to get 4 AA batteries for the controller and in turn the AA's charge the helicopter so flight time is pretty limited. The controller uses a very lower power signal and if you have two of these together they tend to interfere with the other. The biggest disappointment about these is that the controller have a rudder trim feature to make them fly without just constantly spinning and it does not work well at all. So basically the toy is turned on and when attempting to take off it typically just spins wildly. I would not recommend as there are other better brand RC helicopters in the same price range elsewhere.
There is no forward and reverse control. The unit is designed to continuously move forward depending on how you set the sliding Center of Gravity Adjuster, read counter balance. The trim is hard to adjust because it is also affected by the rotor speed. The units with the horizontal tail rotor are much more maneuverable and more fun to fly. Note, when I tried to read the 1 star reviews, all of the reviews went away.
