This is the most powerful solution offered by Alka-Seltzer to provide quick heartburn relief. I personally prefer the flavored chews, but the tablets are definitely effective.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I developed reflux as a symptom of H. pylori several years ago. Luckily treatment cured my H. pylori but the acid reflux persist. At times it can be agonizing. I have tried quite a few medications over the years searching for relief. I've actually tried Alka-Seltzer heartburn chews but this was my first time trying the effervescent tablets. After eating some spicy food I begin experiencing the usual burning sensation in my chest and throat. I measured 4 ounces of water and added two tablets. It immediately begins to fizz and once dissolved the fizzing stops. I disliked the flavor and drank it quickly. It has a very salty taste to it. Despite not liking the flavor I was impressed by how effective and quickly it worked. My acid reflux symptoms subsided within 30 minutes. I also like that each dose is individually packaged. They are super portable and I can just toss them in my purse when I'm on the go. While I don't care for the taste I'm willing to deal with it in order to get rapid relief of my symptoms. I'm giving this a four out of five due to the taste only. I recommend this to anyone dealing with heartburn, sour stomach, acid indigestion or upset stomach seeking speedy relief of symptoms.

My partner has stomach problems almost daily and she had recently taken to trying out Alka Seltzer. The product works for her but she said she doesn't care for the taste too much. My stomach doesn't get upset too often but I am happy I have this in case I need it now.

I tried the original but I didn't really care for the flavor. Good news it was only 4 oz and it works fast. I would use it again. I would tried a different flavor next time.

I can't handle the way it feels in my mouth. I mean it works, it gets the job done, but it isn't worth setting off my gag reflex.
