This pump is so powerful, I love it. First and foremost it is so well built and where you place it, is where it's going to stay. The design, the attachments and volume of water it can handle is amazing. It comes complete with all attachments needed for different sizes of hoses and is so adaptable. I use mine for circulation in my indoor pond, but this would be excellent for a waterfall or any feature in the pond !!! Highly recommended and dependable it even has a handle so you can grab onto it easily to lift out for cleaning and cannot stress enough that it comes complete with everything but the tubing !!!
Since I have already closed my pond for the winter I ran this pump in a large tote. I really like the multipul fittings that come with the unit, it will go from a barb fitting to a multiple hose fitting to a 1-1/2" hose fitting. This pump has all kinds of power and will move alot of water in a short time (love it). With the multi hose fitting on it threw a strean about 6' high, there again Love it, can't wait till next spring. Bobcills
We have been wanting a fountain to accent a small pond we put in our yard. We were debating on how to achieve this. This pump has made our vision come to life. It is a very good quality pump. It comes with excellent instructions on how to operate the pump. The cord on the pump is 30 feet long making the use of the pump very easy. It also comes with two attachments to make the water shoot out of the pump in different strengths or to push the water in a certain direction. I love the look of the fountain we have created. It's amazing to me how such a small pump can make a great fountain. The only thing I wish the pump had was a place to hook up a garden hose to pump water out of the pond. This pump met our needs perfectly and I would definitely recommend it.
This review is for the Alpine 3100 GPH Cyclone Pond Pump. I am using the Alpine pump for my 500 gallon pond in my backyard. It seems to work pretty well, and has plenty of power. The price is very economical and compared to others it is the best bargain, in my opinion. It pumps the water without any effort and is able to move a large volume of water. The flow to the pond is perfect. The pump is quite and energy efficient. It gathers chopped debris into the impeller cavity, so it is easily removed in one big clump. The fact that the motor is fully isolated from the impeller is a huge selling point to me. Overall, it seems well built and the parts feel like they will last for a long time. As far as installation…There are multiple adjusters to fit different sized tubes, which makes installation easy. It only took me a matter of minutes to complete the installation process. I could not be more pleased and expect many years of continuous operation. I have had pumps that were much more expensive than this one, but this one seems to do the job better than those do. I highly recommend this pump!
We have been using this for almost 2 weeks to water livestock with near our house and it's worked great! It seems to be made very well and I expect it to last quite a while! The pump works efficiently and quickly for our needs. I think this would also work perfect for any outdoor water feature that needs to be circulated. Do not hesitate if you are needing a pond pump, this one won't disappoint you!
This pump has been working great in my pond for a few weeks now. The screen/filter before the intake holds off leaves very well, and it's easy to reach down and remove the leaves while it's still running. I attached the pump to an outlet with a remote switch to turn it on and off easily.
WOW this pump is amazing!! my husband is not done with our pond yet so we were anxious to test the pump anyway. he put it in our pool to test.. well let me tell you this pump has amazing power. my husband says the parts are really nice too. great product i would recommend. now i cant wait to get this pond done this weekend :)
The Cyclone pond pump is a great little pump I love the color of this pump I absolutely love that has a 33 ft cord it makes it so much easier to plug it in out by the barn and it has good power to it this thing has a 3-year warranty which is amazing its energy saving you can actually use this in or out of the water and it works it's fantastic this is not a cheap little pump this is a nice heavy duty solid pump it's got some weight to it you're able to use this horizontally or vertically instructions are extremely simple they weren't too hard is very easy to use I feel like this will be great for our clay fish the fact that this is able to help us save energy is great the fact that this cord is too long as amazing that means I don't have to use an extension cord which makes me really happy and I'm super excited that it has a large pre-filter and it is easy to dissemble on both sides you don't even need tools which is amazing and it really is a really sturdy pump I can't say enough about this pump the fact that I can use it in or out of water is awesome and that it will work it is oil-free it's protected by epoxy so I feel like it's not going to rust as fast as other pumps will and with a 3-year warranty this is definitely worth trying out guys to see if you like it see if it's going to work for you if this particular one won't they have so many different ones that you could look at I really like this one and I love the color of it I don't feel like it's super super loud I feel like it's a good size
This is a very nice pump. I really like that it is powerful, but doesn't take up a lot of room in the pond. It can run a filter and a water feature with no problem. The perfect size for my 10' by 15' pond. It would work equally well in a smaller or larger pond.
The pump seems plenty powerful enough and seems to be made comparably to pumps that I have paid twice as much for. The impeller shaft is ceramic so it wont crack or wear as easily and its oil less which is a must if keeping fish but also adds to longevity of the motor. Nice to see it has a 3 year warranty, and also that the impeller is replaceable by the consumer. I thought it was a great idea to come with the multi size hose adapter but it came broken anyway so it wasn't usable. I did contact Alpine and was offered a replacement so kudos on their customer service. I don't personally trust installing out of the pond- but according to instructions that pump can be installed outside of the pond in a in-line setup , but needs to be kept full of water at all times. It comes with only a plastic screen like cover over the pump inlet as pre filter but did not come with any pre filter media - If you keep fish I would highly recommend either adding or making up your own pre filter with media because I don't see that screen as being enough to limit the debris sucked into the pump- especially if you keep fish because they create alot of debris.
