I love having more memory
Lightweight and small enough to travel with but powerful with lots of storage.
The Apple iPad is a great tablet for me. I have used Apple products, such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Macbook Pro since the inception. Because of the investment of money with all of my Apps, it would be hard for me to choose another operating system. I have every game by makers such as Electronic Arts, Gameloft and independents. I also use Amazon Prime for music and movies. With office applications, I have nearly replaced my Laptop for this system. Whether it is entertainment for movies, videos, music videos, or sitting down to read a book on the Kindle App, I have a lot of choices that I can turn to for any time or day. With the cellular capabilities and WiFi, I am ALWAYS connected. The rear facing camera is respectable for photos. The front facing camera has a lower resolution, only practically useful for video chats through Facetime or Skype. I find Siri to be less than useful but she does identify songs. Just say, "Identify this song" or "Who sings this song?". For games, the system is quite robust and when you purchase premium or Freemium (free games that charge you money to play more) games then you have a system that rivals many consoles. The touchpad is responsive. With respect to music, the sound from one speaker is laughable but when connected to a decent set of headphones or Bluetooth speakers, then you have a very good sound / entertainment system. With the right choice of speakers, you do not need to purchase some high-tech integrated surround system for outdoors. Take a look at Sonos, instead. It can cost a few hundred dollars instead of a few thousand for built-in speakers. Many applications exist. We use Control 4 on the iPad to control our heating/air, security system, lighting, surround sound, and television. So it also works as a deluxe touchpad remote control. The iPad is lightweight and easily portable. Because of the higher resolution Retina screen, you have the ability to watch High Definition movies and play High Definition games. Once you have gone to High Definition, it is hard to go back to standard. Battery life is excellent and it can easily last me 6 hours with WIFI and Bluetooth on. Overall, it is a solid system that will likely outlast your Laptop.
Not only having to pay a big price for this item, watch out for your cell providers. Before I had an iPad 2 and there was no extra charge, now my cell phone bill is doubled and I am retired.
