I use my ipod all the time. It is extremely handy when on long car trips or flights. I love having all my 3,190 songs (not to mentions all my videos and free podcasts!) with me wherever I go. It's great for sharing pictures and homemade videos with family!

I've waited longer than most to purchase my first MP3 player but now that I have I fully understand all of the fuss. I have found it very easy to operate and have thoroughly enjoyed owning it. I purchased it using Wal-mart's site-to-store option and was pleased with the process.

I had smaller GB mp3 player but it doesn't compare to this! Easy to use, easy to find audio wanted at iTunes, easy to convert songs already ripped to computer. Only disappointment was that it would not convert songs that I had purchased previously at walmart.com because they were protected.

the ipod classic is great...the 80 gbs holds a ton of songs pics music movies and a ton more. i have downloaded almost 300 songs 200 pictures and a movie and have only used about 3 gbs...which is great!!!! the battery life is the best. i used to have a philips go-gear and the battery on that would last a couple of hours if that.....with the ipod i can go almost a week without charging it. i wish i would have gotten the ipod to begin with.... great product, worth the money, definitely would recommend.

I researched all kinds of mp3 players, was going to get a 8 gig sony , but they didn't have it at our walmart or any other store around me. I didn't want a ipod at all. But after alot of searching and our walmart had this one and it was about 70.00 more then the 8gig and it had 80gig. I got this one and I love it. I don't even have 9 gigs filled up and I have over 730 songs on it about 220 podcast 5 tv shows on it 5 games 4 videos., and 3 audiobooks on it. I still have a lot of music to download but haven't had the time. You can only use itunes which what i didn't like but I use that one all the time, i just wish you could use other ones to. Its very easy to use, great sound and the picture is great on it. The only thing that was the earphones are terrible, but i haven't found a device yet that has great ones. The book you have to download off line to me which is no big deal. comes with a little get started one. has some great features like a timer, it will shut itself off, great when you want to go to bed and have it go off. has on the go that you can make some music playlist on the ipod(thats what it says in the download book thats over75 pages) has clock and lots of other things. I would recommand this. Has alot of things you wouldn't know unless you read the book. which I do suggest.

Very nice product. Lots of storage for lots of songs & pictures. Relatively easy to download songs and pictures. Battery lasts a long time. Could have come with an instruction manual however. Clarity on the screen is very nice. I am loving it so far.

I like my iPod. I just bought it yesterday and I'm satisfied. You can't listen to the radio unless you have a radio remote. I would rather not have to deal with all the wires. 80 GB is plenty of space and I'm still trying to figure out how to fill it up. Yeah you have to pay for your music but thats how it should be. You can also put cds on your iPod with no problem. The screen on it is bright and the sound quality is great. I like the silver color. Its better than the white that they used to make and everyone already has black so its good to be different. It has a little bit of weight to it but thats because of the hard drive thats installed on it. I am happy with it overall and I would suggest it to anyone that wants to put all of their music in one place.

My son was thrilled with this gift. I thought I was buying only a 30 gb for that price. He was so happy that it was 80. He can download his movies and take them over to a friends to view.

Works well - great picture

iPod Classic works well for the price. Amazing that it holds 80 GB for the size! Screen size is adequate, and you can watch movies or TV shows no problem. Easy to add what you want, after unclicking the SYNC option in iTunes. Wish it came with the iTunes program on a CD, instead of having to download it from Apple. That part took forever. Sometimes has a problem connecting to the PC - iPod doesn't register on the iTunes, and I have to plug in the USB a couple of times till it takes, or it asks for a high speed USB? connection. If given the choice, I would buy this iPod again.

Terrific device, despite minor flaws

I love my IPod - I loved it before I bought it, the looks of it alone are what sold me (I know, how shallow), but once I used it, I loved it more. I wanted to address some complaints I've seen on here, though. First - READ YOUR MANUAL. Believe me, it helps. Like any tech device (such as computers), IPods occasionally freeze - if it happens more than on a rare occasion (in 3 years and 2 pods, it's happened to me once), you need to exchange it. However, you do NOT need to let the battery die to remedy this, as a another comment suggested (like I said, read the manual - it tells you how to reset it, and it takes 5 seconds). While the average user thinks you can only use ITunes, that's not accurate. If you Google "alternatives to ITunes" or a similar phrase, you can find several options. ITunes is not a terrible program, in fact it's quite a good program, but for more advanced users, it's not "up to snuff," and limits them somewhat (most people won't find it an issue though), and it is a little awkward at first, until you learn how to add files and folders, etc. It's also incorrect that you are stuck using it on ONE computer. To use it on other computers, you simply have to use ITunes and choose the option to make a different computer (or computers) accepted on your ITunes account. Again, for the new ITunes user, it might be something they didn't know, but once you do, it's easy to remedy. Alternately, there are program alternatives to ITunes that actually downlode right onto your IPod, meaning you can open them on any computer, and add that computers files to your IPod. Having adressed these issues, I'll just say this: The IPod is iconic - don't feel bad if you want one just because it's an IPod, and not some other brand. It's cool-looking, and very functional, and great quality to boot. I love mine, and will keep on loving it for a long time !
