It takes awhile to get use to the i-pod. but once you get the hang of it it works really well for my needs.
Bought 2 for my grandsons. Was a hit for Christmas, they loved them. Going to buy one for me.
I love the iPod Nano 5th Generation. This is my first iPod and I wanted to get one because I heard their sound quality is great. I can't believe how far these "walkman" style music players have come. Even the radio stations come in great! I have managed to load about 30 songs on it so far. I will also use it to download movies for when I travel. This is going to be a great companion on my daily walks!
I purchased this iPod nano 8gb for my grandson's 13th b-day. He has not been spoiled when it comes to gifts (per his parents wishes), so he was totally TO THE MOON when he opened this gift!!!! He called me to say thank you for the gift, and he just went on-and-on-and-on-and-on-and-on about how much he "just loved it". His excitement was a gift to me. It made it totally worth the cost of the gift (which for me was very expensive).
After scoping out the new iPod nano 6th generation, I actively sought out the 5th generation. It has all the features and more that make using it such a pleasure. The video camera is such a nice touch and fun to use.
My mother and I purchased this for my seriously active father. The staff at Walmart was kind and clear. We even got a free $50 iTunes Gift Card with our purchase! When we presented it to my dad, he loved how lightweight it was and how many songs he could hold. He bought a bunch of his favorite songs with the gift card and packed them onto the iPod, and it has worked splendidly! You can barely feel it when running, but still the music is clear and loud enough. It has really helped him become more motivated -- thanks!
the ipod itself is great...however installation has been a pain and i have to reinstall it on our new system and have yet been able to do it...calling apple is a pain....definitely check around for pricing...walmart did have the best pricing at the time we bought ours...also, ear buds that come with it do not always fit in little kids ears, so may contemplate getting another set while you're buying this...
This was for a 64 year old man who had no prior experience using an iPod or using the flywheel, etc. He was able to easily set it up himself and was importing and downloading tunes within the hour. It's pretty awesome, and so sleek and tiny/thin next to my 80 gb Classic iPod. The video feature is shockingly good! Videos are comparable, if not better, than our Sony mini-DV camcorder! We highly recommend this product. Only down side at this point is that the battery life isn't living up to stated hours. Perhaps after more recharges it will get better, but at this point it's not lasting more than a few hours. If buying for a teen, you might want to get a case or arm band, cuz it's so little & slippery that they might drop it. We got both for just a few dollars on eBay.
The 5th Generation IPod is great--I like the bigger screen and the ability to record videos.
This iPod is sleek & just a wonderful as it's earlier editions. I love the radio on it, but will say that it doesn't always come in clear. The headphones are the "antenna" so whenever the jack is moved, it gets fuzzy. Other than that, I love it!
