Bought this iPod for my wife...she loves it.
This model replaced my original iPod Nano. I'm impressed with interface and new features. One must get used to the multi-use display and "gestures" needed to navigate. Compact size similar to the iPod Shuffle and the clip makes this a good unit to carry during vigorous exercise/activity.
I received the 8gb of this product from my family for Christmas and so far it has been awesome! The ear-buds provided hurt my ears, so I purchased the Marshmallow brand ear-buds which are awesome and they don't hurt at all! I recommend buying the Marshmallow ear-buds along with this Ipod! The music is very clear and the FM Radio is nice although some places there is a lot of static throughout my parents house. Over all these products are amazing and for this being my first Ipod I'm very satisfied!
I have had IPods since they came out. I am disapointed in this unit. It sounds good on paper but the real world is vastly different. For the money spent, I would have been better served to buy a different manufacturer. Like the radio feature and works great at the beach. HATE the "voice-over" feature. This is the main reason I am disapointed in the unit. This feature caused the unit to not work poperly till I found out how to shut it off. Apple would be better served to make this a optional feature instead of the main event. Unit has improved in performance since cutting off this feature. I have had a 16 GB in past (GOT DROPPED IN MY POOL) so am use to the memory. Since my music is in the Apple format, I'll continue to use IPod but am not as happy with this unit as my old 16 GB IPod.
