Our customers that we purchased this for were very pleased with the iPod shuffle. How small yet large capacity for music. It is too bad that I didn't get to keep one for myself.
theproduct looks good in pictures ,,but i dont think the controls are going to last long they will eventually brake or the plastic controls will break ,,..thats the only thing i see thats wrong they should have been put some were else .i dont think that pressing these controls alot will last ..but its from apple and they are pretty fair ..the only down side ..
I love my i pod shuffle. I always lose it my pockets but that's okay. I even washed i yesterday i thought i would have to buy another one but it works today. So that was awesome you should so get this i pod it's so cool.
I love owning the new Shuffle. So small, and lightweight, but a hard-working little player, and rather inexpensive. The controls are easy to operate (though, I'm rating the iPod, not the iTunes software, which can be frustrating at first) and it includes a "voice" that can tell you the song title and artist name. You will need the iTunes software (downloadable for free on itunes.com) to add music to your iPod. The headphones include an in-line play/pause, forward/backward skip, and volume control in one small "clicker" on one of the earpieces. Click the center once to pause (once again to play), twice to skip forward, three times to skip back. You don't have to be super-speedy on the clicker either. I've found that the lightning fast clicks don't work every time, but a steady click.click works well. The volume control buttons are shown by plus/minus symbols on the clicker. Conveniently, the volume up button is on top, the down is on the bottom. The indicator light (located next to the headphone jack) will flash orange when the maximum allowed volume is reached. (A note: there is a volume limiter option in the iTunes software, if you are concerned about children playing the music too loud. And as a heads-up, these headphones can get VERY loud for their size.) Another great part about the in-line control is the song information function. To hear the song title and artist, simply hold the center button for about two seconds. The song's volume will diminish while a voice tells you the information. It's very handy. Next to the indicator light (which will flash green while your songs are playing if the battery is well-charged, orange if the battery is low) is a three-position switch. The positions are off, continuous in-order play, and shuffled play. (Note: the standard order for continuous in-order play is alphabetical by title, but you can change this in iTunes.) The Shuffle has a metal clip on one side to attach to shirt collars, etc. This clip has a gap in the top side, should you choose to run a lanyard string through it. Now, something that I noticed as I've used it. If you have (unusually) small openings in your ears (like I do), these iPod headphones will NOT fit in your ears. Since I typically only use mine while I'm reading, I can turn the volume up high enough that I don't have to put them in my ears. I have to use the old-school over the crown headphones, or very tiny earbuds, and this poses a problem with the Shuffle, because these other headphones do not include the in-line remote. Fortunately, several companies make Shuffle-compatible headphones now, and some also make adapters to use incompatible ones. Belkin, namely, makes a remote adapter for the iPod Shuffle. It is inexpensive but works very well. I now plug my regular headphones into this adapter, which plugs into the iPod. It also included an auxiliary audio extension cable, which can be used to play the Shuffle over a car or home stereo (if your system supports this.) In case you couldn't tell, I HIGHLY recommend this product. I've had zero technical trouble since I bought it, and I consider it money well spent.
i love my i pod shuffle! it has where a person tells you the song and is plays really good! i was very shocked when i learned i accidentally left my i pod in my pocket and washed it. after this it still worked!i deffinatly recomend this product!
It is cool, smaller than I expected; no big deal though.
I love my Ipod Shuffle. Its a great value and perfect for me and my walking. But here is the problem. The earphones are the worst!! Whether your ear is big or small, they will not stay in!! Walking in the wind today, they kept blowing and falling out. I was so mad and could'nt enjoy my walk. But, heres the solution. BUDFITS!! I found mine on ebay, but they do have a web site. Check them out before you, like alot of other people, return your Shuffle.
The new ipod does not work well with other head-phones. Our kids do not like the little speakers that sit inside their ears, they always use other head phones. With this new ipod the ear piece has the volume on the wire... not in the acutal ipod.... not a good thing!
I purchased my product new and, over a little more than a week, the battery has gone from lasting a couple of hours, to 45 min, to finally not holding a charge at all. I can charge it for 3 or 4 hours and as soon as I turn it on it says, "battery low" and dies. I have heard these exact sentiments echoed by other shuffle owners who returned them promptly. No information about this problem seems to exist on Apple's website. Perhaps consider this before purchasing. It may be a limited problem but, considering the number of people I've encountered dealing with the same thing, I don't know.
As a marathon runner, the iPod Shuffle has been the best thing to come along since sliced bread, especially on my long runs. It is light and easy to use. After losing my 1GB Shuffle during a recent trip I went and bought another one, since I have another marathon coming up. After using it one time recently on a 22 mile run I returned the product because it clearly was not designed for runners in mind. I found it difficult to have to "chase" the controls on the cord to change the volume or song during my run. I also start my play list over during the last five miles of my run, since my "power" songs are at the beginning of the play list. The new design takes away this feature that was previously in the old design. Hopefully Apple will go back to their old design for us runners!
