Comes with: 14 ounces of Small Pool Sanitizer -- This product is your primary sanitizer. It is a form of granular chlorine and should be used as often as needed to maintain 1-3 parts per million (ppm) of chlorine to protect against bacteria and algae. . 14 ounces of Shock Plus -- This is a mixture of chlorine and other ingredients designed to "shock" the water. The chlorine introduced above can periodically be combined or rendered ineffective by refuse, suntan oil, and other contaminants. Using a "Shock" product weekly or every other week oxidizes away swimmers waste allowing the chlorine to be free to continue killing bacteria and algae.
