I just recently installed one of these bubble stones in my 10 gallon tank using a Whisper pump for 10-30 gallons. At first, only half the stone was blowing weak bubbles. I then took it out and turned the black knob like thing on the end of it (end that doesn't have the air tube). Within an hour or hour and half (like directions say), the whole thing was bubbling. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone.
All of the holes seem to be working which surprises me for $2.00. The tank came with an air filter but I read the reviews and every one said it was very noisy. I bought a whisper filter with tubing and this bubble stone and I love it! Very quiet and puts out a lot of air. The only thing I don't care for about the air pump is that you have to raise it above your tank which is tricky because it's in my kitchen. I did however, work it out and it works great! I highly recommend this system as it is quiet and gives maximum air flow.
ok, i had to write this review because i read up on all these when i decided to get one. I wanted the wand that you stick to the side of the glass. they didn't have that. so, i got this. I LOVE THIS!!! It bubbles like crazy. i don't know why people were having issues. The only thing i can think is if they didn't follow directions and soak the stone for a while before turning on the pump. I have a 29 g tank with 6 beautiful goldfish. They love this. they play in it all day! WEll worth it. I would pay so much for this and it is cheap. I say buy, buy, buy! my son got the wand and it doesnt bubble as well and the fish cant go back and forth very well because it is suctioned to the wall. this stone however you can put anywhere in the tank. love,love
I would put this in a 20 gallon or more tank. I put this air stone under my gravel (buried it) and no it did not kick up dirt or make debris in the tank. It made a beautiful bubble curtain which my fish like to ride.
Fish love it! Works great and makes plenty of bubbles! Better then other air stones iv used.

Took a while to get saturated but works great
Better than the old tubes but it's hard to make them work connected. Once you get them to work do not touch the gravel or they come apart.
