It is functionable and works very well and to the best expectations!!! It is very easy to put together and works excellent. I had a diaper genie and it broke so I bought this and it puts diaper genie back on the drawing board! Buy one and see for yourself I did and even bought another for upstairs because I loved it so much!
This diaper pail works great! It traps all the smell inside and you can't smell anything unpleasant when closed. The diaper bag refills are easy to remove for disposal and simple to refill with a new one. The pail is not that large, so I recommend only putting in the smelly diapers, while disposing of the other diapers in another non-sealed garbage bin as there is no need to trap odours away. By doing this, the diaper bags last longer. Walmart has the best prices for both the diaper pail and refills around. I have done my research and Walmart has the best price for both.
Fabulous! Much better system than Diaper Genie! I had Diaper Genie 10 yrs ago & thought it was okay except for changing the bags, which was kind of a pain. Pull it out, cut it off, etc.... it smelled so bad that I ended up just leaving it in the garage... so what's the point right? .... This one is so easy & the bags can easily be reused if needed. Holds at least a weeks worth of diapers for a 2 month old with ABSOLUTELY NO odor. Highly recommend! My favourite part about this pail is that there is no bag cutting... just put it in, snap it shut and your done! One of my MUST HAVE baby products. I'm also buying it for my younger sister who's having her first baby this year! :)
Had the diaper genie w/ my son and bought this for my daughter b/c it was pink. I love this so much more than the diaper genie. You can make the most out of the bag for diapers than w/ the diaper genie. It is easier to change out once it's full and not as heavy to carry out to the trash. Will most def recommend!!
I have been using these refills for my munchkin pail which I love.. The refill hold a a good amount at first but as diapers get bigger in size the volume they take up also increases but still has great odor protection and bags are durable.. Never had a bag break so far
This product works exactly as described. We are very pleased with it and it has made a wonderful difference in dirty diaper disposal.
I had the diaper genie with my first baby in '05 and the diaper genie II with my last in '10 and they were okay but definitely not as great as this one. It's so much easier to use and the changing the bag is a breeze. Not to mention the odor control is amazing! You don't smell the diapers at all, definitely a great buy
I desperately wanted something like this because my growing baby poops a lot, and I mean a lot, 3-5 times a day! The smell was terrible thru out the house if I didn't take the garbage bag with smelly diaper immediately in the trash. I did some online research and discovered that Diaper Pail had better reviews than Diaper Genie so I decided to give it a try.. The price was ok (cheapest in Walmart, believe me, I did a serious research) and it works but by the end as the bag gets fuller and fuller I can't say that the smell isn't noticeable, it is, but after 5 days it really starts to smell bad and thats how long it takes to get the bag to be full. Still, I think it was worth the money as I don't run to the trash can every minute. :)
While there is no smell issue and the bags are easy to change, as soon as it is half full, you have to fight with it to get the lid shut, which makes an awful cracking sound. It is very loud and scares the baby, I actually never use it when baby is in the room. I am afraid it will break it every time I use it.
I was hoping that this would be a simple system to use, and in that regard it has performed fine. I can't recommend this product though, since the lid starts to stick as soon as the bag is more than half full, and the odor containing properties of the baking soda that is supposed to sprinkle automatically every time I close the lid doesn't work. I curse this diaper pail pretty much every time I use it.
