We really like the Arrow Red Brown Steel Shed. (It IS red - it looks a little browner in the pictures.) The directions weren't as easy as we had anticpated after reading another review, but with a little help, my husband was able to put it together. It's roomy, and we plan to purchase some of the inside accessories. A nice shed for the price.
My husband and two sons put the shed together. It was a job! This is not a shed that will be together in an hour! Now that the shed is up it feels solid, except for the siding. It is a bit flimsy...I wish they made them a bit thicker. My advice is if you do get this shed don't tighten up the screws on the framing until the very end. There are a ton of holes that have to line up. My husband & sons were constantly pushing & pulling on the frame to make them line up. I'm not really happy with the doors either. The pieces are plastic that hold the doors up & they don't feel sturdy at all. Be really careful too! The ends of the sheets of steel are like razors! Also, there are several of the same sheds priced at different amounts on the website. They're all the same shed. One even had the the flooring kit included at a cheaper price. We put ours on a cement pad. Good luck!
This shed will take alot of time for you to set up so be prepared. There are many screws/washers/nuts also. The roof will take the longest to put in place as it takes the most screws....etc. once complete it is a very large storage shed.The one bad point about this shed is it does not come with a floor system, which it should, as if you look at other sites you will find it included in the final price.
I purchased a 10x14 red barn shed for my yard. The material used is a bit flimsy and assembling it has been difficult. Some of the pieces were bent and dented upon arrival. Overall it's a nice looking shed for the price.
I bought this shed and my comments would be to make the following mod to the kit: 1- please increase the length of the self threading metal screw, it would not cost much more, but it would be much faster and easier to screw, and it was difficult even with a magnetic screw bit. 2- I would be willing to pay even 20% more if you would increase the thickness of the metal sheets (all of them), it would give a little more rigid structure and less fragile. Some of the sheets were crumpled by us even if we took care to manipulate them carefully. An average kit, fragile, relatively easy to mount and every the parts fitted OK.
If you buy this shed it needs to be properly sealed and not with aluminum tape that is provided (leaks and uninvited guests, bees nests and mice will be an issue). It needs to be strengthen with 2x3s and 2x4s especially if you live in areas of snow. personally its a skin . The way the roof is designed it holds the snow on the roof so I strongly recommend re-enforcing it. I do home renovations so I have an idea what should be done. One suggestion when your done, close the doors and seal up all the areas you see light. One last note to the manufacture, the box looked good when I got it but a lot of the wall panels had creases in them. more care is needed because its what people see. thanks
