I have this one for one of my cats ! They love it would recommend this !
I wanting to advise customers that the dimensions noted in the specifications stated 26.5"L x 18.75"W x 15.44"H when I ordered the Pet Porter. When I received the product, the actual dimensions are 24.1"L x 16.7"W x 14.5"H. Very disappointing to wait for delivery to find out that the product is incorrect. The product quality is what I expected. It comes with metal screws and plastic nuts for extra fastening. That is a nice improvement from the previous version.
Very pleased with the purchase of this kennel...very easy to put together...spacious for my doxon/terrier mix that weighs 9 1/2lbs. She loves her kennel and goes in it on her own throughout the day to sleep and lounge. A real great buy!!!
This is a well-made, stylish carrier. I think it is a very good value for the price. The only down side is that that the door is narrow. It was rather difficult to get my large (12 pound) cat stuffed in the carrier. Once he was in, he had plenty of room.
I have several cats and needed another crate to transport them to and from the vet. This one is the perfect size. Large enough for 2 grown cats with room to spare. The only down side is that it does not have a seatbelt clip on the top as my others do. You can secure it by running the seatbelt around it but the clip is much easier and most likely safer.
The attachment of the two halves leaves something to be desired.
This is a nice carrier however, the dimensions listed are inaccurate it measures 24.1â L 16.7â W 14.5â H because of the height my dog canât stand straight up all the way. I am returning it.
I bought to take my new cat to the vet. He was only 9 lbs at the time so I assumed it would be more than enough for him. Upon bringing him home it literally fell apart and he got loose outside and had to be chased down. I followed the little instructions there were, latched and tightened everything the was to tighten and it still fell apart. And even when the 2 halves stay together the door never stays in place, complete waste of money!
Two years ago we purchased this carrier for transporting our cats. After only a year the top split. The handle was useless. Another option was to use the shoulder harness. The rings broke through the plastic. A 16 pound cat could not possibly be the reason this product failed. I give this product a rating of zero. I honestly think it was a huge waste of money, simply because the design was flawed.
Just bought 2 15 pound crates from a retail store and wow... I used to use petmate carriers almost exclusively and now I'll probably not buy another. Super shoddy construction, cheap, flexible plastic, would offer no protection in a car accident and probably wouldn't hold a determined animal.
