I stayed away from the Galaxy hype and began to look at smartphones when my carrier offered to upgrade my wife and I's phones. I began asking people around me about their phones and I was shown the S7 active and immediately fell in love with it. I hesitated when I saw the bulky cases for the device but I didn't let that distract me from deciding to upgrade to this device. I watched ad videos on the performance, looked at benchmark rating websites and watched YouTube unboxing/review videos. This phone seriously impressed me with the performance, abilities and slick style it provided. I honestly feel that every phone after this will never be as equal or surpass this Galaxy's gifts.
I love it the new blue filter for night time use, so much easier on my eyes. The other great feature is the WiFi calling. Was in a area with spotty cell service, tried making a call and was waiting for it to go through. So Hung up turned on WiFi calling and it started ringing through seconds after I dialed it.
I used to love all the Notes but I am rough on phones and would break them. I got this model instead shortly after it came out and it has been great! I don' t have to worry about it much!
I love this phone. I was waiting for it to come out and went down the first day to get the first one. It's fast, looks good, takes great pics and durable. The battery life is great and I like the hard buttons. In short it's almost perfect. What could be improved? 1. Again the power button is in an inconvenient place and gets accidentally hit (put it on top) 2. There is no screen protector out yet. The first night it was in my pocket with my glasses case and scratched the Gorilla Glass screen (not that tough?) I'll have to be more careful until I get a screen protector 3. I miss the IR blaster from my S5. Can't change channels at my favorite watering hole and surprise the other patrons. That's it so far. After 5 days of heavy use, I am in Heaven.
I've only had it a few hours but I have been able to install most of the aps I want and have found that having experience with a Galaxy tablet makes this seem natural. I haven't installed the memory card yet, but that tiny tool for opening the bay should work. My calendar and address book transferred from my old phone. I'm not sure I have the fingerprint recognition working well yet, and it may take more work to calibrate the compass but this phone is proving to be a useful tool as well as a fun diversion.
I upgraded from a galaxy 5 active and I'm very happy I did. The galaxy 7 active camera is better than the 5 and the pictures come out beautifully including the selfie camera. I put all the protection on it right away like the glass screen protector and body armor because once you drop a phone into a glass of ice tea, you'll always prepare yourself before it happens again. I love being able to make monthly payments on it with the att plan and the battery stays changed so much longer than the galaxy 5. I'm on my phone for some of the day and I always have power left at bedtime.
I just got this phone today but had the Samsung galaxy s6 and loved it. I also have Samsung tablets and love them also. So far this phone is great, it is also waterproof. The calls are so clear and you do not have any problem hearing the caller. Easy to use. so many features. You can not go wrong with this phone.
I bought this phone because it is supposed to be more durable than other phones. After having it for a short period I took it out of my pocket to discover that the glass over the camera was broken despite not having any significant impact on it. I am very disappointed.
You might as well get the regular s7. I had a case and a glass protector and it shattered when fell on concrete.
I used this phone for two days, then got under the rain and display died right away. Very poor quality phone! It was my 3rd Samsung phone, i will never buy Samsung product again
