I purchased this to go in my guest house. This is excactly what I was looking for. It is elegant as a sitting piiece, as well as functional as a bed. It is a little stiff at first, but I purchased a padded mattress cover to use when converted to a bed - I just use regular sheets that fit a full size bed. Very nice - I fully recommend.
First, our order came through very quickly (site to store) and had a prompt e-mail message that it was ready for pick-up. This was definitley the solution for us. We needed an extra space to have friends over to visit and lounge (purchased 3 for a u shape) and be able to turn it into an area for friends to stay over if need be. Be sure to put the furniture sliders under the bottom of the 4 legs, makes it way easier to move. These couches look and feel very good and are extremely easy to put together (legs only). There are two minor flaws that i've noticed. The first one is that the back rest of the couch is a little bouncy in the corners, not solid like a real couch. This is the give and take part because it is a sleeper also. The other was the price, I could see this couch selling more at about the $249.00 range. All in all i am still very satisfied with this purchase, the feel, the look and comfort i have it at 4.8 out of 5 stars.
We used the internet to store delivery option, which was great. I liked the no added shipping cost. When the couch arrived, it was very simple to put together, and it is very comfortable and sturdy. It is for my daughter's apartment, and she loves it. It looks just like it does online. No surprises. I had made some throw pillows for it ahead of time, and they worked out great too.
We've had this futon for about 3 weeks now and love it. My son uses it as his bed and says it's very comfortable and has no trouble sleeping on it. We are planning on buying 2 more in the very near future for our family room which is used mainly by the kids as a game room. And my daughter will use one of them to sleep on whenever she comes home from college during breaks. Overall, we are very happy with this product. Had it shipped to store, easy pickup, box was in perfect condition, and it was very easy to put together. It was very heavy though and so if you can put it together in the room you'll use it in, it's advised. We couldn't do that and it was heavy and awkward to move into the smaller room once we had it out of the box. It's also a huge box and barely fit in our van with 4 seats removed. A pickup truck would be wise.
I like the couch but when we got it out of the box there were two large rips in the bottoms of it. I think they will need to be patched to keep it from tearing more in the future. For some reason I didn't realize the fabric was going to look like it does, its nice looking but I am having a hard time keeping particles from showing up (but recently moved and there is much stuff going on in the air currently as i clean and clean). its easy to clean with a sticky roll but I have to roll it every day even after sweeping and vacumning. but overall, the couch looks very nice from the front, classy and modern. and is comfortable if you like firm surfaces. also if you are planning on putting it in an open space like i had chose to do, you may want to consider purchasing a sofa table to go behind the couch. there is a black fabric covered board that sticks out at the bottom a couple inches. (my two yr old walks all over it and it catches foot prints). the pics attaches should give a better, true depiction than what is on the website.--the color from the flash on the camera makes it appear grayish but i assure, thats not the case, it is truely black.
I very happy with this product. It is a cozy couch strong enough to support your back. Perfect for a small apartment. Definitely recommend it to my friends )))
I was going for a simple yet elegant contemporary look and it did the job. I bought 2 for my living room instead of couches temporarily but they're so nice, I might just keep them. You will need to buy pillows though because it's not as comfy as a couch where you can sink in and have back support. Very easy to assemble, about 10 min each. Heavy to move n haul, Pickup truck is ur best bet.
First impressions this is definitely a futon :D. It works very well as a couch, but there are no sides to lean on while sitting down, however, the couch setting has a straight up back and a slanted setting so you can lean way back to have a nice relaxed time. It is definitely something different to get used to and is not your average living room piece, but I think it will grow on anyone who likes to think outside the box when it comes to decorating and staying fairly inexpensive. The oddest thing and hope it wasn't part of the original screws, but I found probably 20 extra screws inside the piece upon arrival...I think the manufacturer's were having a screw fight or something, but it still feels reall sturdy so I just think someone drop a bunch in on accident and said screw it (no pun intended). All wood no metal framing on this little guy...be prepared to notice the "bed frame" stick out behind this unit when it is in couch mode. Oh, and found it easy to remove from the box, fold it into a couch and carry it upstairs that way.
i love this couch it's big and comfortable for a living room. the only problem i had was when opening it out of the box it requires two people because it's heavy. other then that it was easy to set up and looks great. since the side pillows that come with it come off i sewed mine on the couch that way it can just stay there since i'm only using it as a couch and NOT a bed.
I always read reviews and do my research thoroughly before making any purchase like this. I really really wanted this to live up to its reviews. I had it delivered easily and put it together in minutes and that was when the good turned bad. I was immediately disappointed in the lack of padding. This felt like so many other stiff, boxy futons that you've all sat on. I thought because it had so many good reviews about the comfort that this futon would be different and I have it a shot but I guarantee you it is not comfortable. I was not setting the bar too high for comfort either...again, I really wanted this to work and keep it. But it was uncomfortable for any short length of time to sit on as a couch. I guess in the lounge position it was ok for comfort to lay on. But i would mainly use it as a couch. I will give it credit for looking kind of decent and the latching mechanism worked fine so the build quality was ok but I could see this priced at $200 instead of closer to $300...not worth it at all. Again, summary...if you like comfortable, padded couches for sitting DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Disregard the other reviews, they must have lower standards or expectations. This was a total let down and a HUUUGe hassle to return (luckily I have a truck). So it immediately went back to Walmart.
