I love my phone!!!!
It's a great phone.
It appeared that most GO phones were old technology until this jewel popped up. I had an older android GO phone but wanted one with more memory and the Jelly Bean operating system. The Z998 has both of these. It has a great display, will run all the new apps, and keeps me on the GO system. I do not buy the data plan and have data turned off. At work, home and many places in between I use WiFi which keeps email and everything up to date for my needs and saves a ton of money. Highly recommend this terrific phone.
I've had several phones and all left me wanting. Not this phone. The screen is nice and big. It's really fast! The keyboard is a nice size and a super nice size when rotated! I can't think of anything I dislike about this phone. Well maybe one, there's no rubber protector made yet for this phone. But, I can live with that. There was one that also matched all the buttons. I think I'll go back to Walmart and get it and just cut out where I need to, it was just the hole for the charging unit. The rest matched up. You won't be disappointed with this phone. For those who wonder, yes the camera works both front and back.
Well Ive had a few android phones in my time and decided to try a Chinese brand for once. Its maid by a company called ZTE for AT&T. Aparantley there a fairly known company in China. Lets start with the speed in my opinion its pretty zippy with its dual core 1.2ghz processor and haven't had any lag using it. The screen is very nice and the colors are very vivid Brightness is good. The screen size is 4.5 which is plenty in terms of screen size. Now on to call quality the speakerphone in this model is pretty good its loud enough to hear well and the regular speaker is good too. Reception seems to work well. The touch screen works well also. I did turn up the tap speed just to make it a bit zippier. The battery life seems pretty good its a 2000mah battery which is decent size for a 4.5" screen. Though in the specs it says 4 hours talk time i toyed around with it quite a bit and still had 50 percent battery after using it a good part of the day. The internet and down load speed is pretty fast which is nice. The Gpu is an Adreno 305 which isn't to bad it should be able to play some decent games like Dead Trigger or Modern Combat 3 for example. The build quality of the phone is pretty good for the cost. The only gripe i have is that the Google navigation wouldn't load right. Tried everything. Its possible that Googles navigation has issues with slightly older versions of Android which this has Jellybean. Because i tried Scout Gps and it worked ok as long as i turned on all the gps and location settings on. Maybe ZTE the company and AT&T need to come up with a patch update for the Gps. All in all its a pretty nice Phone just hope they'll patch the Gps even though the Scout Gps seems to work pretty good. Took a few pictures and they weren't to bad. It also has a front camera for Skype etc. I also like that is has a charging light on the front which Manny phones don't have in this price range. For those wondering it uses a micro Sim Card. There you have it. Hope my review helps others. peace.
