Have had the phone for about two weeks. I have spent a lot of time "playing" with the various functions. I am happy with it but my one complaint is that the Google Maps navigation app is not very loud and is difficult to hear over the road noise. I will probably look for a different GPS navigation app. The other little problem is that I would like to turn "off" the message notification noise but if I do that I also have to turn off the ringer. That is a problem. Other than that, I am pleased.

Close in performance and size to Samsung S3. Buy 16 or 32 gb SDChip/card and download Opera Browser, and FireFox, and FlashFox then you're good to cruise in high dear on the Internet. The model Z992 should be taken off market forever.... Paid $106 +tax online and pick up in store in about 45 minutes.... Great second smartphone. Set camera to lowest resolution for fast email sharing photos. Be careful setting up passcode lock so you don't lock the PUK... personal unlock key.. I rate this best buy smartphone value.

This was the first smart phone I had purchased. I was previously using one of the non-smart (?) GoPhones from AT&T. I wanted keep my phone number, and I was able to do so. Even though the SIM card on the Z998 was smaller, I was able to transfer my phone number to it by calling AT&T customer support at 611. I love this phone. It's been pretty reliable so far. I downloaded the Kindle app and it's pretty nice to read books on. It's not as big as a tablet obviously, but it is much more portable. I've downloaded and installed (and uninstalled) other apps too, and everything is working great. My plan is fairly inexpensive as well. I am using the $25 plan, which is 250 minutes of talk and unlimited text a month. There is no data, but I have found that I am not missing data because most of the places I go have a WiFi network, so I just connect using that. I highly recommend this phone if you are looking for a smart phone for a reasonable price.

It took me some time to purchase this phone. I was waiting for the price to come down. I am very pleased with this phone. It does all that a contract phone can do without a contract. I like the size of the phone easy to use and the screen is large enough for me to see without my reading glasses. Excellent for a senior to have without worrying about being billed monthly.

I wanted a smartphone but did not want to pay a lot of money and I am VERY pleased with this phone! It has a large screen which makes it nice to watch videos and text. I don't have to keep deleting my texts and retyping like with my previous smartphone because the screen size allows for a bigger keyboard. Its fast and easy to browse the internet. I don't have a data package, I just connect to my WiFi at home or in public WiFi hot spots where it's offered. I love not having to pay for a monthly service when I can pay only $50 a month and have unlimited talk and text and not have to worry about extra charges on my phone bill. My old go phone had a larger sim but it took a very short phone call to customer service to get it transferred to the new smaller sim that came with the phone. I am glad I didn't go with a more expensive phone when this one has all the features I need and more! I highly recommend this phone! It is well worth the money!

I have had this phone for 2 weeks, and I am really enjoying it so far! It is very easy to use and has many helpful features. It also has the panoramic photo option as well as the screenshot option, which were not mentioned on any info or review site that I read prior to purchasing. A good surprise :) I bought the phone with the intention of paying for the $45 AT&T Go-Phone plan, which allowed unlimited talk & text with 2G of data. After purchasing the phone, I found out that this plan is only available for non-smart phones (this was not mentioned ANYWHERE). They did have the same plan, with 1G of data, available. I decided to settle for this plan and then had a hard time getting my phone started on this plan. Apparently this plan is offered through WalMart and not all of the AT&T employees were aware that it even existed. 2 hours later, my phone was set up and has been working very well ever since.

bought this phone for my nephew when his old one broke. He loves this phone. Says its fast and has all the options he needs. LTE and great pictures and sound quality. I would definitely recommend the phone to anyone needing a good low cost phone. I added it to my family share plan too so its not pre paid. To add the phone to the plan only cost 15 per month if added to existing plan. Great deal all around

First smart phone...Love that there is no contract. Got extricated from Verizon 2 years ago and have been getting by on a Trac fone. Deciding to upgrade to ATT smartphone and based on the reviews out here, chose this one. I've only had it a couple weeks but so far it's been great. Really easy to use. I did have to call AT&T to start the phone but since then, smooth sailing. The battery lasts a long time. I get great coverage so far everywere I've used it. Also, I still have plenty of data (although, I'm not on it 24/7 ..or even close to it). The BEST part is no contract...I never want to be locked in to another plan and if this phone continues to meet my expectations, I won't have to. Highly Recommend.

Had about a month, price was great, love the phone. Comparable to my old iphone4s once I adjusted my settings. I have had a few quirks, like my data plan shutting down, so I need to turn it back on, or mysteriously switching into flight mode. A little annoying but not enough to really irritate me. I think I've lost a few calls due to the flight mode switching too. I just read about this problem on fixya.com, pulling phone off my ear and then hitting the screen, and then touching controls, apparently causes this issue. Also, the protective cases like otterbox or lifeproof are not available for this model, or atleast I couldnt find them. All in all, I would definitely recommend the phone. $125 vs $650 for iphone, are you kidding me?

I've resisted getting a smartphone for some time. I started here with a lower priced option and feel I have gotten very good value for my money. I had to download the 88 page user guide to better learn how to use some functions but overall I am becoming more satisfied as I learn to use the device.
