Could've Just Been a Lemon

Chose the Aurora 20-Sheet Heavy-Duty Confetti-Cut Shredder because our last shredder, the AS1200X, also manufactured by Aurora lasted almost 8 years. Thought we could count on the same reliability, but it failed after shredding 8 separately fed sheets of #20 lb. paper. Made sure the basket was inserted properly, pressed the ‘manual' forward and reverse buttons and nothing. Unplugged the shredder and let it sit over night hoping the gremlins would magically repair it. Awoke the next morning, plugged it in...and still nothing. So, off to Wal-Mart with our first ever merchandise return either purchased in store or on-line. Guess we had to experience the return process at least once and now was as good as time as any. If reviewing the return process we'd have to say that it was just as problem free as purchasing and ordering on-line...quick and hassle-free. A mid-point rating was given only because the product couldn't be given a fair chance as it could've just been a lemon. And where it asked if we would recommend this product, we would've never 'ticked' either box, but was 'forced' to choose otherwise this review wouldn't have been published.
