I have one issue. This product does everything it says it will and performed well with my curly/wavy hair day 3 hair. My only complaint is the extremely heavy fragrance, my roots smell like a grape Jolly Rancher left on a dashboard in Texas afternoon sun. After 6+ hours, it's still overpowering and more than a little cloying. Is there any way the fragrance content can be decreased? This is the first time in almost three decades of using various Aussie products (I desperately miss your Dual Personality Spray Gel + Leave-In Conditioner) that I've had this problem. Other than that, I love it.
First of all, this dry shampoo smells amazing, let's be real, all Aussie products smells aussome~! I tested this on my brother's hair so I can see how the product looks like when it comes out and for this one, it almost comes out clear and then you just have to brush your hair and it looks all freshened up. I really like the fact that it didn't look all powdery and white which is nice for brunettes. I definitely recommend this, especially it's so affordable. *I received this free Aussie product from Influenster to test out and I am giving my own honest opinions.
I got this Aussome Aussie product from the Aussie Voxbox complimentary of influenster. I have experimented with several dry shampoos and I have not fallen in love, I've only fallen into a state of "this will do", till now. Once I tried this dry shampoo it was like Aussie made it specifically for me hair. I have fine, dry, long hair that gets oily easily. This product soaked up the oil instantly, and left my hair looking fresh. The one thing I really noticed is that this dry shampoo did not make my hair feel stiff and dry, and it smelled so amazing, not all chemically like other dry shampoos I've tried. this product is a MUST HAVE without a doubt. I did get this product complementary of influenster, though I got this product for free to test and review all opinions are my own.
This is perfect for people who wash their hair every other day. It smells good and does not leave hair feeling stiff and tacky. I absolutely love it
I have a strict 24 hour maximum when it comes to how long I can go without washing my hair. I've had oily hair my entire life and have tried a ton of dry shampoos ranging in price from $3 to $30 a bottle. This is now one of my favorite dry shampoo. This dry shampoo is different than most that are on the market. If you've ever used Sexy Hair's H2No, this is very similar. It leaves no powdery residue which is important to me because I have dark hair. It does feel sort of sticky like you've sprayed hairspray in your hair, but it left my hair looking as clean as if I had just washed it. I also love the fragrance of it. Make sure you don't use too much or it will make your hair dull and gross feeling. Just start with a less than you think you need to use, make sure you give it time to dry and absorb the oil, then add more if you need to. I honestly don't think I would have tried this and would have assumed it is like all of the rest of the inexpensive dry shampoos that don't work for hair like mine, but I got this for free in a recent vox box. I will now be a regular purchaser! It's hard to take selfies of your own scalp, but I am including before and after photos to help you get an idea of how this worked for me.
I used this product like every 2nd or 3rd day for 2 weeks. I am a big fan of most Aussie products but not real crazy about this. I have used other dry shampoos in the past. This dry shampoo left my hair really dull and not feeling much clean not like the feeling you get with wet washing it or using other dry shampoos that's for sure. The smell of this product is a little bit overwhelming but not something i couldn't get used to. I did test the Aussie products for free but all opinions are my own.
Could be better but since I have used many dry shampoos to help control the oil in my hair this is one that definitely helps the most. It's only drawback is that it is a bit too thick. A lot of dry shampoos you can just brush out the powder that has absorbed but this one isn't so easy. I tested Aussie for free, but all opinions are my own.
These pics are after I used the dry shampoo:( I had to wash this out after using it.. the problem is that it sprays on wet and dries white, so it's impossible to know if you are applying enough to absorb moisture but not too much that it makes your hair white/gray. My hair felt gritty, dirty, and looked terrible even after I got the white (mostly) brushed out. The scent is also extremely strong, and I thought it wore off after awhile, but my husband and friends confirmed that the smell definitely does NOT fade. It's not a bad smell, it's just incredibly sweet, like a preteen's named-after-a-tween-celebrity perfume. I have used at least 6 different dry shampoos before, and this is tied for worst. It's going in the trash. I got this for free to test from Influenster, and obviously my opinions are unbiased and honest.
I've been a fan of Aussie for some time now, I recently was able to try the new 7in1 products by sample from Aussie & Influenster, unfortunately my experience with the dry shampoo wasn't near as good as with the shampoo & conditioner. I have dark hair so I'm very picky about what dry shampoo's I use so I don't get a horrible brassy look, I also have a sensitive nose which brings me to the most important part of this review. The scent of this was so overpowering I felt like I was sick at my stomach. I truly don't think I could give the product itself a fair review because of how horrible this scent is. I immediately had to wash it out. Please come up with a different scent Aussie!
I do NOT recommend this if you're looking for a typical dry shampoo. In my opinion, it's not even really a dry shampoo at all. The consistency is much closer to a hairspray, and that's how it performs too. This made my hair very sticky and hard to manage, even with only using a very small amount. The smell is AWFUL. It smells like old candy that's way past its "use by" date. You can do MUCH better than this product for just a dollar or two more.
