We drink a lot of water at home and I encourage my family to drink more water instead of sugary drinks like juice or cola. The Avalon Limited Edition Self-Cleaning Water Dispenser comes in assembled. There is no complicated assembly required to start. Works as described, and very happy with it~
This is my first water dispenser that i didn't have to lift the 5 gallon jug to mount it to the top. I love it. It's extremely easy to use and load. It came completely ready to roll. Just open the door, take the lid off of the jug, place the syphon pump in the water jug and the lid pushes right into place. Shut the door and it starts filling immediately. It has an awesome night light for any late night filling. It has 3 temp buttons for filling, cold/ room temp/ hot. The water comes out pretty fast too, takes about 5-7 seconds to fill a full drinking glass. I understand it also accepts 3 gallon jugs, even though i only use 5 gallon. It's shiny, flashy and classy. This has become a staple in our house, it gets used at least 10 times a day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to friends & family, you'll love it too if you get one !!
I was sent this product free for my honest opinion. I will begin by saying the water cooler is sleek, modern, and very quiet! It came packaged so as not to have any dings or dents in the stainless steel/aluminum portions of the cooler. It has very easy to read controls and lighting. It is NOT childproof, as my 3-year-old grandson had the buttons figured out in a New York minute. We have since put a tray on the top so he can't see the buttons. Actually considering putting it up on a small square pedestal to keep little fingers off the cooler. The cooler whirred a bit at the start up but, became quiet once it was fully operational. Love the hot and cold features. Perfect for that quick cup of tea! We basically use the cold and hot temps. We did test the room temperature button. It is a VERY stylish water cooler, something you'd see in a high-end home or office. It is of good, solid construction and fits perfectly with pretty much any decor. We LOVE that it is bottom loading, which makes for easier bottle transition. As of now, we haven't run out of water to see how it indicates if the water is low. We are very happy with this unit. I would highly recommend this product.
It is a very attractive addition in the area it is located at. It is so easy to check the water and refill, no struggling to lift anything up just slide the water bottle out and fill it up or replace it with another 3 or 5 gallon water bottle, that are easily refillable at Wal-Mart for next to nothing. The dispenser needed to be cleaned prior to first use, after a little bit of figuring out the instructions it became apparent how to do it and cleaning it out on a regular basis will not be a problem after the initial cleaning. I have familiarized myself with it and will be able to get the max benefits from this water cooler, I want it to last a long time and keep it running efficiently. It needs a 20 cm clearance on all sides but it wasn't difficult to find an ideal location, it is a perfect fit and it cleans up nicely. My granddaughter can use it easily, you can tell she likes using it. The hot water has a child safety lock so I don't have to worry about an accident happening there. The hot water is hot enough to make tea without any additional heating, right from the dispenser. The cold water is ice cold and I need to add some room temperature water to it so I can drink it. The nightlight is a huge convenience at night, and when the water bottle is empty a red light indicates it, there are so many conveniences. I will keep track of the months so I can sanitize it after three months and remove the mineral deposits after six. There is a self cleaning switch which took an hour and a half then I was able to use the hot and cold water again and made some Ramen noodles to test it out. This has so many features that it is very practical and energy efficient and I am able to enjoy my drinking water, which I take very seriously.
I bought this after having to replace a brand new water cooler by a different manufacturer that leaked. It's been great. No issues at all. It cost a little more but it's worth it. Self cleans, quiet, night light, and so easy to change out bottles. The hot water is HOT! And drinking cold bottled water has enabled me to lose weight easily, as well as hydrate, which I've needed to do for years.
I am so impressed with this cooler! I researched water coolers units for three days before I decided on this one, yes I'm a bit obsessive about getting just the right features but also getting a product that has good reviews so research takes me a while. Of course I was still apprehensive because of the negative reviews that stated the buttons being hard to push or the cooler being noisy, or that there was a plastic taste. Let me tell you that every single cooler that I researched had these same comments but this one had so may positives as well as reviews stating the wonderful customer service that I decided to go with it. I have been using it for almost a week now, and I have about two inches of water left in my first bottle, I absolutely love it. Unboxing and setup was super easy. At first I was disappointed that I had tiny scratches on the stainless door until I realized that it had a film that you have to peel off after set up. I installed the water bottle turned it on and let it do its thing for an hour then came back to super cold and super hot water. My thermometer read 40 degrees on the cold and 190 on the hot which is colder than stated, my fridge water is 60 degrees so the temperatures make me very happy. My buttons are easy to push and even though the water doesn't dispense as fast as my fridge it's not bad. My main concern when purchasing beside the longevity which only time will tell was how noisy this unit would be, well it was not what I expected at all, this thing is quiet! My tiny wine fridge makes way more compressor noise than this cooler. I also read complaints about the noise the pump makes pulling the water up, well that is no big deal either, I think that people who experience that issue are not seating the bottle properly and letting the lines lie against the side of the bottle. I also read in negatives "the cold isn't cold or the hot doesn't work" if you read the instructions and do the set up step by step there shouldn't be an issue. One of the last processes in set up is to turn on the buttons for hot and cold on the back of the machine. I'm only speculating that people do not turn those on then feel the features don't work. Lastly I only have one complaint, I wish the unit was taller. I see that I can purchase a 10 inch base to raise the height which 10 inches would be perfect but they are asking almost $70 for it. This riser is black plastic and although a great idea, I feel like that is some serious price gouging. I am restating that I have only had this a week but all in all I couldn't be more pleased.
Since we live on a well system in New Mexico, we needed a water dispenser that could dispense hot, cold and room temp. And because our house in a soft contemporary (see pics), we needed a dispenser that was modern. Avalon's A3 was perfect. It's stainless steel look along with its clean lines and contemporary style fit perfectly in our stainless steel kitchen. Its functionality, so far (had it a week), works as described at this website...the hot water is 180 degrees (we tested it, just for fun), the cold water is cold (not ice cold) and the room temp water is, well, room temp. 5 gallon jugs fit easily and the set up is also easy. Now the most important part...is it quiet? ... Yes! Ours doesn't run that much (to heat and chill the water), but when it does it pretty darn quiet...about as loud as small dorm room mini-fridge...maybe quieter. So, big thumbs up for the A3. Excellent product, easy-to-read set up instructions and great product design.
The Avalon limited edition self cleaning water cooler water dispenser is a great addition to our game room, It looks impressive and lets us have very cold drinking water and hot water for teas and other hot beverages always at our fingertips. I especially like the fact that the water bottle remains out of site, enclosed within the machine, therefore not looking like a water cooler at all. It is easily moveable, while not being connected to any water lines, just needs to be near an electrical receptacle. The only problem I had was the need for better installation or beginning instructions. There are more than one type of water bottles available, and no instructions referring to which type to purchase, so the first one we got did not look as if it would work, so we bought a different design only to find out that either would work. It would have been nice if that fact were specified, but now we have a back- up bottle, which is a good idea anyway. I highly recommend this water dispenser. Oh yes, it is possible to not have the hot, or the cold dispenser turned on at all times, which saves energy, and this "is" an energy star approved appliance.
So far so good with the setup. It is a beautiful unit the black and chrome looks beautiful next to our black and chrome mini fridge and our den. So far I'm just trying to see how I was going to work for us but I've been trying to make this purchase for years and the reviews help me. I like that is nice and quiet is not loud and the setup was absolutely easy it comes really all set up.
