brokenhearted that my Walmart no longer carries these. I have tried every single one that they carry plus surrounding stores and these were the best ever. I am so unhappy.
I was reading Cormac McCarthy's cowboy novels. He always describes people eating with tortillas and wiping their plates clean with the last bite. So, I had this craving to do the same. I bought a pack of Buena Vida tortillas at Walmart, went home, made a pot of chili con carne-no beans, and laid into it. These tortillas are perfect. The texture is very good. They taste great. They may have some positive nutritional characteristics but didn't care because I like them. My Walmart quit carrying them. I was devastated. I tried other brands of whole-wheat low carb tortillas. All are dreadful. Nothing compares to Buena Vida. If your Walmart carries them, you probably have a significant population of Mexican people in your area. Give then a try - the tortillas, I mean.
these are great
I have used these for several years. I like them because they are so versatile. I use them with. Peanut butter, use them in place of bread, and many time cut them in half. They are so useful in managing my diabetes.
