We were given this as a gift and our 12 week old daughter loves it. She especially LOVES the star that lights up and plays music..she loves to talk to it and watch it light up. It's the best toy we have for her!!!! The play mat is well constructed and comes with great toys too.
My daughter is 2 months and loves this play mat! I love the fact that it has loops on the mat as well so when we are doing tummy time she can play with some toys as well! She loves the lighted/musical sun! So much that we unhook it and take it with us everywhere I wished I could buy just that piece I'd like to have two or three more!
Our son loves this activity center. As a newborn, he enjoyed the music and lights playing continuously, but now he has learned to kick the bars, or pull on the toys, to make the music play (motion-mode) and really enjoys that. The toy hooks provide the flexibility to re-arrange toys as needed and add more toys. The activity center is easy to setup/take-down -- we just pick it up by the bars and hang it up until needed again. My only complaint is that the motion sensing on the music can be finicky -- sometimes a small bump will make it play, but other times we have to give it a good shake for it to play, which can be frustrating for the little guy because he can't get it to play. We have tried new batteries and tightening its attachment point, but nothing works 100% of the time. At $60, it's a little pricey, so I would definitely shop around for the lowest price.
Our daughter has loved this play gym! As she's gotten older and more mobile, she still loves some of the items that hang off and we've taken them off so she can play with them. The circle rattle has been a particular favorite but it wearing out. Anyone know if you can get just that item on its own???

I loved this gym, its nice and colourful to stimulate my son and good variety of toys for him to interact with. He has laughed at the dog since day one. He couldn't reach the toys at the beginning which wasn't an issue as we knew he would grow into it. He has really enjoyed playing with it the past month, however this morning he managed to pull off one of the dogs legs. Luckily we saw before he had chance to put it into his mouth and we trimmed the dog with scissors so it is safe for him to continue playing with it. Would have been five stars otherwise
After 6 trips to the ophthalmologist I am writing to let you know about the faulty packaging of this product. I was putting this product together for my mother-in-law who had purchased this to keep at her house for when my son would come to visit. As I was cutting the plastic ties that kept the blue and red arches connected to the cardboard piece from the box, instead of these arches being connected 6 times to the cardboard piece (because they were connected to each other 6 times) these arches were only connected twice. When I cut the plastic tie at the end with scissors, the blue arch flew at my face like a catapult & smacked me straight in the right eye. Luckily I had blinked my eye at the moment of impact but my eye was hit with such force. Had this piece hit my nose I would have had a broken nose. I am not out of the woods yet in regards to my eye and I am being monitored for a possible retina tear. My son loves the play gym but assembling it is the challenging part. Just be prepared when putting this together.
I bought this for our new granddaughter. She loves it but the music failed in a couple of weeks and as a two month old, she was able to tear the fabric toy loops.
Bought this mat for my son and after 1 month of usage, the music stopped playing. It sound raspy at first, thought the batteries were going out but I changed them and that didnt work out. A few days later, it stopped playing completely. Felt like it was a waste of money. I dont recommend this play mat.
Purchased this mat for my little one. He LOVED it- was just mesmerized by the star and would easily be occupied for 10 minutes so mommy could do her thing. However, today while I was prepping dinner I heard a crash followed by screaming. The material that holds the beam broke off and the star fell and landed right on my baby's face. Thankfully he was not seriously injured but this is absolutely unacceptable! See photos.
