AWESOME WITH A CAPITAL A

Awesome! I so wish I'd had this with my first 2 babies! I have the pink and white one for my 3rd baby (a girl). It's so cute in her room and unbelievably easy to use! Set up in minutes. I can use my regular scented trash bags for extra odor reduction. No smell!!!!!!!!!! I don't put too many dirty diapers in there though, just because the pail is upstairs and I usually change dirty ones downstairs and take them straight out to the big trash can. You can turn the handle with one hand so you can keep the other on your baby or hold your baby. My middle child, 3 years old, LOVES to turn the handle but it's child proofed enough so she can't open it and take the bag out. It's very easy to change the bag for an adult though. I can't say enough about this! GET IT you won't be sorry!!!

This product is great! The only problem is that it does not hold the bags well, although it is good because you don't need special bags--you can just put a grocery bag in it. We ended up just using it without the bag--you have to touch the dirty diapers but its not a big deal and youll end up doing it anyway. Also, it keeps the smell in. I never smell anything when I walk in the room.

I love this product! I use cloth diapers and it works awsome!! No smell and easy to tote to the washer to empty. Also when my son was born and too small for the cloth diapers I purchased we were able to use it for disposables too. This will be my new baby shower gift as I find it the most practical diaper disposal system I have seen. I received a Diaper Genie at my shower and since I was planning on doing cloth diapers I could not use it at all. Also you don't have to buy replacement bags you can use the bags you get from the grocerie store. The price is great and the product is awsome. I normally don't write reviews but this was worth a shout!

Any plastics bags, no smell in room

This diaper pail is a great product for it's price. It's very easy to use. The greatest feature is that it uses any plastics bags including shopping bags and thus saves money. The smell of the diapers is locked very well, and the only time I smell the diapers is when I change bags.

We purchaed a different product (diaper genie) for our first child and absolutely hated it. My brother let us borrow his diaper champ when she was 3 months old. We absolutely loved it and when we got pregnant again one of our first purchases was a diaper champ!! The bags are easy to change, and you don't spend a fortune on new bags. There has never been an odor in our house due to dirty diapers. We can't say enough good stuff about this product!! We give it as a gift for every baby shower.

When our son was born we originally had the diaper genie. Once he reached about 5 months I was getting tired of having to reach my hand down into the genie to discard my diapers and then when I did I smelt everything...nasty! Then to change the darn thing was annoying. Anyway my sister told me about diaper champ so we ordered it from walmart website-free shipping (much cheaper than Target) and picked it up at my store within 4 days. Took 5min max to set up and I love it! It save you money in the long run. With the genie I had to buy the refills and use a garbage bad. Now I just have to buy garbage bags to discard the diapers. Easy to use, easy to empty, easy to change out. It may have a slight stink to it when you change it out but my husband and I just bought a smelly glade plug-in and that took care of the problem! I really enjoy and would suggest anyone to buy one!!!!! mama of one!!!

I actually did a lot of research on all kinds of diaper champs and finally decided on this one. I really regret that decision. For the first few months it worked fantastic but now even with odor guard bags the smell still escapes. I have to change the bags daily because the smell gets so bad. I still use it only because it keeps my daughter from trying to get to the dirty diapers. We're planning on having another baby in a year and I plan to go with the diaper genie.

Not A Good Choice

If you put in Poopy diapers, the whole house smells. Where as with Playtex Diaper Genie-II, I never had that problem. Thought this one doesn't need refill covers to be bought. But it doesn't stop the odour. So doesn't serve it's purpose.

I have had this for 21 months and have finally had to switch to the Diaper Genie II Elite as I am expecting a new baby. It's better than using a regular trash can and emptying it every day. I only had to empty this every 7-10 days on average. But every time I turn the compactor, smell was released through the cracks and it stinks! Don't try putting wipes or anything other than simply a diaper in it or it will pop back up when you flip it again. My daughter kept messing with it, requiring me to sanitize her hands each time because it's gross, and the worst of all: EVERY time I changed it the smell released was SO BAD that is smelled up the entire room, and if you don't tie off that bag and get it out of the house in less than 60 seconds the whole place will smell horribly! I would have to open the window and air the room out for a few hours and the smell would still linger until the next day. A babysitter changed it for me once and the smell hit her so bad she literally grapped the bag, ran to the back yard and barely made it to the grass before puking. So unless you want to deal with these issues, DON'T BUY this product!

Don't Buy

We bought this for our 2nd child and only used it for about 3 monthes befre I couldn't take the smell anymore. It is very easy to set and use, but it did not hold the smell in at all, especially after just a few dirty diapers were disposed in there. I originally purchased this diaper pail because of its cost and use of standard trash bags, but it wasn't worth any of the money. My daughter's room has never smelled so bad! Don't waste your money on this product!
