Very great buy!

The perfect co sleeper for a small bedroom setting. Went together very easily and seems very durable. No big toots and whistles like other play yards. But for the money perfect for a new baby. Loved the mp3 input in the music attachment.

The colors and the softness of the fabric is what got me. I've been using it everywhere inside my house and outside too. We took it camping and my baby was great inside the playard. It was very simple to set up and breakdown. I recommend this playard to everyone.

I LOVE this crib, except for a few small things!

Needing to replace an old Graco Pack N Play for our fifth baby, I chose this crib because of the bedside feature. We normally co-sleep at least part of the time with our babies for the first few months, but I've never used a co-sleeper bassinet. I absolutely love being able to have baby right next to us, but not right in the same bed. Wish I would've had one of these with the first four! The Close N Cozy bassinet area on this Mini Playard is rather small and I wonder if it is bigger on the full size playard of the same brand. Our three-month old already seems to be getting too small for it. I love the electronic features and especially the mp3 plug-in. The volume isn't an issue for the mp3 plug-in but for the other music and sounds, it is too loud even on the lowest setting, so we haven't really used it yet. We do use and like the vibration feature, as it seems to help soothe our baby. I love the muted colors and pattern of the fabric covering and it looks perfect with my bedroom linens. Haven't used the changing table yet, since I have another set up in the house, but I could see using it for traveling, like in a hotel room. Overall, I am happy with this. I would've purchased the larger version if it would've come in this same fabric and would've been a little bit cheaper.

I bought this as an alternative to the graco travel lite crib(that was discontinued) I originally wanted to use in my bedroom as a bassinet. This was on clearance for $105 which was good, it came in a timely fashion to the store for me to pick up-I used site to store shipping. Putting it together was an issue. My husband and I are expecting our first and well have not had too much experience with pak n plays but I didnt' think it'd be so hard. I think now that we got it together it'll be a breeze knowing what to pull on and push down and connect lol. I wish the mattress was thicker bc theres a hump in the middle where the baby will lay. It's nice how you can take the close n cozy off and on so easily but then to store it somewhere is another issue after your done using it when the baby is older bc it's a pain to put together. I love the colors/design of this it matches my bedroom/lvng rm well and is gender neutral. The music box/recorder is a good idea but wasn't executed well. It's way too loud on lowest setting and some of the recordings sound awful, nature sounds like a messed up screeching cassette tape! But I love the feature of the mp3 port. Overall a good product with a few hiccups but a great deal!

Good Value

Really a pretty good value and seems very durable. However, this is not going to be real useful or easy to make portable. The Close N Cozy bed was difficult to put together and not easy to dissasemble to put back in the bag. In addition the changing table is not too easy to disassemble. Couple features I think we'll miss as well are having the ability to move the mat height up like I've seen in other models. You either have to use the changing table, close n cozy bed, or have the mat at the bottom of the playyard there isn't an adjustable heigh. In addition you use the same mat for the bottom of the playyard and the close n cozy bed...so you couldn't use them at the same time in different locations. Last complaint is that there is no storage or compartments on the side for diapers and items like that. Otherwise, the colors are great and we look forward to using the close n cozy portable bed!

Love the play yard with the vibration. The music can be loud and the bassinet will not be used for long. However, it is a great play yard and the vibration really helps to calm baby. I would recommend it.

Mediocre Playard
(3)
Reviewed in the USA on 2012-01-12T16:00:00

I just received the playard and haven't used it with my baby yet. Set-up was fine, in my opinion. Instructions were pretty simple. I have not used other pack n' plays/playards and can't compare set-up/quality/features/etc. with them. SUM-UP: Not bad quality, not amazing quality. Colors weren't the same as online and not cute as hoped. This mattress is thin. That seems counter-intuitive, but may be safer to avoid SIDS. The mattress is also not washable, and NOT waterproof. I would not buy this playard to use outdoors (light colors, hard to clean, not liquid repellant). Having seen it, I'd probably consider another higher quality brand w/o bells and whistles before this playard. I'm not totally bowled over with cuteness or quality, but don't have enough reason/motivation to return it and shop again. Mattress: Size is 23" x 34" x 1/2". It's thin, so don't buy if you don't like that, or plan to purchase another. That being said, babies shouldn't have a cushy mattress; it's not safe w/SIDS. Inside it's basically 3/16" thick board sections that fold with the thinnest batting on top you can imagine (probably about 3/16" thick batting too). It's not water proof or washable, I'll be getting/making a simple waterproof sleeve to go over it and under a normal sheet, or another mattress. Mattress fastens to bottom of playard with velcro, folds in half for use with the bassinet. It packs well for transport. Fabric and netting on top/sides of playard is ok, it is not liquid repellant. I don't know if it's prone to staining (hello Scotchguard?) and would probably need to be steam-cleaned. Fabric covers on the changing table and bassinet might be machine washable, they'd certainly be easy to wash and hang by hand. Fabric on the bottom of the playard is water resistant. I did notice stitching issues on two places. The stitching tension was loose and had been gone over again in one of them, but not super well. There were some loops sticking out still that I'm worried might snag or come unstitched eventually. However, it would be simple to fix myself IF that happened (I'm not convinced it will, it wasn't too bad). Most stitching looked great. I like that the changing table rests on the top of the frame, unlike many other designs/brands. I doubt it'll lean inward with a child on it like many other models. The plastic feet seem fine quality wise, wheels are ok - not thin, but I can tell they are hollow. Playard seems sturdy, plastic parts looks thick enough, metal bars are fine and lock into place well with metal nubs. I'm concerned that the support metal bars in the bottom of the bassinet and crib do not have plastic covered ends, they may wear down the fabric on the bottom or side netting they come in contact with- they have closed ends that are painted and fairly smoothed. I'll probably wrap electricians tape on the edges just to be safe; they're not visible anyway. Color: The online images I've seen on multiple sites made the playard look off-white and slightly darker off-white/beige with a dark brown or black scroll pattern. The actual playard I received was different. Fabric with the scrolls has light lemon, dark cool khaki, and white stripes with dark brown scrolling. The other patterned material (circles and flowers) is a dark khaki with faint yellow/cream for the pattern, and the solid quilted cloth on the bassinet matches this khaki color. The circle/solid khaki is warmer than the other khaki in the stripes and they clash! The yellows on the patterns also differed a little. As silly as it sounds, the colors really irked me. I didn't want any yellow, and it wasn't mentioned in the description or pictured in images. The clash between the khakis is subtle but really irritated me too. I'm not sure if this is an issue with all models. On the plus side, These colors might hide milk spills better than other playards! The electronic console takes 4 AA batteries, I don't know how fast they're consumed. The included music is atrocious but I'm excited about the mp3 capability. Night light looks helpful (it's on the inside that faces into the crib). Console can be moved to the front left corner of the playard or back corners of the bassinet.
