I recently went to a dinner with a friend who got a DWI on the way home. I was very surprised as we only had 1-2 drinks each and shared some wine. I starting using BACtrack and was astonished that my BAC was much higher than I was estimating. The level of drinks or feeling tipsy that I would normally have not driven was actually much higher than 0.8. This device is amazing in that it now helps me clearly understand how many drinks over what period of time I need to be safe.
We purchased the S80 online and when we received the breathalyzer it was defective. We contacted BACtrack and they immediately sent a replacement - no questions asked and no problems with the exchange. We have used the new S80 for several months on a fairly frequent basis and have had absolutely no performance issues. This is always a hit at get togethers and we are able to monitor when we and/or our friends can safely be on the road after a party. Although we understand it is not legal, we at least know about where our blood alcohol levels are and are able to make a determination as to when it might be safe to be driving.
This has been very useful to determine limits for alcohol consumption to keep within legal limits Checking BAC after a certain number of drinks in a defined time frame, over multiple outings has allowed me to learn when to stop in order to remain safe and legal
I've used the device for about 40 tests and it's very consistent and precise. I carry it around. However, How to know if it's properly calibrated out of the box? If the readings are consistently lower or consistently higher, consistency becomes irrelevant.
The first question your asking yourself is: does this thing work? The answer is yes! I have put it through multiple simulations to see if it would progressively read my BAC both up and down in a systematic way. It does just that and it is simple to use. What I really found amazing was how high my BAC read even though I felt just minor impairment. If you want to know just how easy it is to misjudge your intoxication buy this. If you regularly consume alcohol (even on a social basis) you will quickly learn that over time you will absolutely loose the ability to judge your own impairment level. This machine will help you monitor where you are at - it could stop you from making a terrible mistake such as driving or engaging in any other activity that requires a significant level of skill and judgement. It will also drill home to you that in general most of us (including me) consume way to many drinks in one sitting. This product is well priced and worth every penny.! Buy it if you have the money and regularly or semi-regularly consume alcohol because you will finally get an accurate fix on your drinking pattern and will reach the unmistakable conclusion that you can still drink but you need to monitor your BAC so you don't overdo ...AND you are probably overdoing it right now and need to make adjustments in the amount you consume..
I am really glad that I purchased the breathalyzer S80 Pro. I am someone who likes to drink, but I do not want to drive illegally or unsafely. I keep this in my car so that I can always check before I drive. I paid the extra to get the S80 Pro to be sure I would have one as accurate as the police. I would recommend this to anyone who is concerned about their safety and that of others if they are someone who drives after drinking.
great product works as it says it does tried it several times would recommend anyone to buy and use it always kept in the car where ever we go
Loving my Breathalyzer and using it when needed.
The product is easy to use and operate. It's quick and I hope accurate. It's gives you a good idea of how your body processes alcohol. Based on food intake and exercise your body reacts differently to the same amount of drinks. After a couple weeks of usage you can almost guess your bac. Great product. Thanks again Uncle roy.
the device is giving me readings about half what i would expect. i returned it for inspection, and was told it tested accurately. i spoke with breanna who said that people process alcohol differently. when i asked how confident i could be that it was mimicking what a blood test would determine, i got no answer. i have no confidence in this device.
