My 5 year old is a big fan of any of the color reveal products. This makes a great stocking stuffer because it's smaller in size. It's a good price for what it comes with.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another cute color reveal doll! This one reveals clothes instead of not knowing which doll you got. The accessories are cute, you get a tiara, skirt, shoes and a balloon. The balloon is a little bulky and difficult to get the doll to hold, but it's still cute! My girls( 7 and 6) loved it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not typically a fan of “surprise” toys, because my daughter gets bored with them once the surprise is over, or she doesn't get the one she was hoping for. But, I didn't mind this one, because Barbies/Barbie friends are always a hit. The color reveal worked well, and I liked that it includes the jar to put the water in for this process. The hair color change worked well, too. My daughter's only complaint was that the balloon accessory doesn't stay in the doll's hand (I tried, too, but it's top heavy and doesn't fit her hand well).
I was very happy that this doll had nice, well-rooted hair instead of a removable ponytail on a plug that is hard to brush. I also like the fact that her face wasn't painted with washable paint like her body. My only complaint is that she cannot hold the heart-shaped red balloon. Oh well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loved opening up the little bags to see what accessories her Chelsea doll had after putting her in water to see her outfit change. Then she saw in the instructions that her hair color changes in warm and cold water.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved the surprise. While she was disappointed to get a boy she loved adding it to her Barbie collection. She loved seeing his hair turn blue and she is obsessed with the balloon. The outfit made him look like he's ready to party!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this doll for my granddaughters. They opened up the canister to find many small pieces of accessories in secret wrapping. I personally don't like that so much plastic is used. The girls had fun opening each piece and seeing what was in each package. Then they put the doll in water and her colorful outfit is revealed. The girls loved seeing what they would get! They also just really loved playing with Chelsie. We like that Chelsie looks like a little girl. It's a very fun toy that keeps their attention, with the added fun of water play.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie Chelsea Color Reveal Doll with Confetti Print & 6 Surprises is a very fun & and entertaining toy for kids. This Chelsea Doll Color Reveal comes with 6 different surprises and that really adds to the fun & wow factor as the kids open each surprise. This is a really fun activity for parents to participate in with the kids as it requires using water and also tends to be a little messy but nothing that can't be cleaned up quickly. I recommend doing the color reveal during the child's bath time due to it being a little messy. Overall, it's very fun & entertaining for the kids and they loved the Chelsea Doll Color Reveal with 6 Surprises!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves the Color Reveal Barbies and was very excited to open this one. She liked the bright packaging, party theme, and was very curious to see which doll she received. Upon opening some of the small packages (which do not need water), and after looking at the directions form (which also lists the various doll options0, she immediately knew she had the boy. Her response was, literally, "Oh. I got the boy one. That's not the one I wanted." I think the challenge is that some girls do not want a boy doll. She still played with the accessories and did the color reveal to show the boy's outfit. She had some difficulty putting on his pants (very tight and hard to manage). She ultimately took him to "live" with her other Barbie dolls and he is now organized with the one other boy doll she has, but she does not play with this one very much. He's more of background versus her other preferred girl dolls.
we have bought 4 of these now.....every time we get the same BOY, my daughter is furious and im tired of wasting money on these. My SIL has gotten one of these for each of her daughters and both got the same boy too. Out of 5 possible dolls, it seems only 1 is being sold. We will never buy this again.
