I had bought this movie over a year ago as a fill in birthday gift and then didn't need it so I stored it away for another time. Then one of the little girls that I babysit started to get into princesses and barbies so I brought this movie out to watch. I never expected to like the movie or for the quality to be that good!!! The 3 year old I watch wants me to put this movie on every day!! I will definitely be buying more barbie movies for future use.
Our four-year-old girl and three-year-old boy love the Barbie movies. They had watched Barbie in the Nutcracker at their grandmother's and were fascinated. That was the movie that I intended to purchase for at home but it was not available in the store at the time of our visit so I purchased Swan Lake instead. They watch it over and over again. My husband and I enjoy it as well! Although I am not fond of Barbie dolls, the movies portray Barbie in a very wholesome manner and she is not proportioned at all like the dolls! My little girl loves the dancing best of all and both of the children are learning to appreciate classical music through these movies.
A couple of years ago I bought this movie for my daughter and she is almost seven years old and she stills loves this movie along with all the rest of the collection of barbie movies. The one thing I can say as a mother that the barbie collection is very clean and recommended for all ages.
Ever since i bought this product, my 3 year old watches it at least once everyday and she loves it, i also find myself enjoying it very much.
Nice movie. Shows kids about friendship and honesty. Great classical music.
Tjhis was bought for a 6 & 9 year old girls. They really like it.

I got this movie for my 3yr old because she loved 12 Dancing Princess. The movie only had a little bit of dancing and more of a dark story line. My daughter was afraid of the evil wizard and was upset when she thought Barbie died 2x's. I think this movie would be okay for older children. All in all it is better than tv. Once my daughter gets older, I will bring the movie back into circulation. I wish there was move dancing. We loved the 12 dancing princesses.
My daughter got this for Christmas. I love the music and dancing but it is a little dark and scary. I really like the other barbie movies we have seen but this one is on the bottom of my list. It is a great price but I would go for one of the other barbie movies instead.
