An excellent movie just like all the other barbie movies. My 2 yr old daughter has the barbie movie collection and she loves them all. She knows the titles of all the barbie movies by heart. I've watched all the movies with my daughter and "we" love them.
We have 2 girls, ages % 3/4 & 4 1/2 and they LOVE this movie!!! We do some traveling & it's great for the road trips! They LOVE it! Thank you very much! :)
this movie has been an instant hit with my 2-1/2yr daughter. they watched it about 20 times already and still would not mind watching it over and over again. Bought it on sale for a low-low price and was a great buy. My 18mo son didnt pay attention until about 30mins into the movie and after that he is hooked on each time his sister is watching it.
It took a little longer to get this movie. It might be it was a holiday weekend. When I order from the website it usually arrives within 3-5 days.
Great Movie finally no scary people. A great green message & finding a "true friend". My 5 & 2 year old love this movie very appropriate for little ones.
I bought the movie for my six year old daughter. She loved it, now sings along with the songs. The movie also teaches children about standing up for what is right and how one person can make a difference.
Me and my kids loved the movie itself, but when I received the product it wouldn't play about halfway through so I had to return it and get another one.
My daughter has most of the Barbie "classics", however, I wish they really would do more of the actual "classics". I like the mermaid and related topics, but it's a fun way to introduce your daughter to Swan Lake, The Prince and the Pauper, etc. I'm pretty sure we have all of them because they are sold at a good price and the length is at a good attention holder. I like the way Barbie is portrayed a little more as "real" or "natural" in the opening where she is playing "herself" and not the stereotypical Barbie. If you're skeptical, give one of the "real classics" a try. My daughter is 8 and still plays them over and over. She loves to dance with the Twelve Princesses.
All of the Barbie moves so far (with exception of Barbie's Diaries) have been quality movies and great for little girls. However, having two young girls and paying close attention to the content of the movies they watch, I would say that Barbie's earlier movies were much, much better than the later ones. I think they've more than worn out the whole fairy-theme, whereas the earlier movies kept your interest and kept you entertained with a variety of tales that were very creatively re-told...like RAPUNZEL and SWAN LAKE and PRINCESS & THE PAUPER. Now THOSE were great children's movies. Fairies are magical and great fun for little girls, but I think the Barbie movies have really run that theme into the ground. I'd really like to see them go back to the style of the first few movies...even as an adult you could enjoy them because they were of high quality and were very creatively done.
Hope the new one is better.
