I returned another brand because the flap that seals the outlet when not in use wouldn't stay in place. The flap on this plug works great. I like that the plug has a screw to hold it in the outlet. I rarely write reviews but this product deserves a good review. If you have a round cutout for your existing outlet as I did you may have to replace or add a plate to accommodate the flat oval cutout for this outlet but it is worth the trouble. My only negative is the big openings where the motor wires exit the plug.

Looking at how it's made, this will probably be the last one I'll have to replace. The first 2 (including the one suggested by Minn Kota) would loosen up with use, causing the troll motor wiring to get hot and potentially dangerous
This is the best trolling motor connector I have ever used. 100 Amp capacity. The best part is the screw knob pulls the plug together and also pulls the plug apart. No more fighting with the plug.

This connector is robust and solid. Even though it is a bit pricy, I chose it to connect a 24v trolling motor to it's battery array because of it's positive lock and because it will not bottleneck the current flow to the motor like some connectors that are supposedly designed for the use. Excellent, impressive quality.
Very well built , by far the best TM plug I have ever used . The only thing I would have done different is somehow make the plug end water tight because due to the way my boat is set up I can't mount it vertically and the end where the TM wires come in is opened , but still nothing a little silicone won't fix .
We already had one of these on our trolling motor. We bought a spare trolling motor and installed it on there. Great idea for quick disconnect on your trolling motor foot control. Only wish you could buy the connector nd base separate.
