I had heard so much about Beats Headphones and how good they sound I just had to purchase a pair! I was not disappointed, clear sound quality with good bass response. This was and excellent price for these and I truly recommend these to anyone that want a great sounding pair of headphones!

Bought these for my 14 year old son. He loves them. Only draw back is the case for the headphones will not accommodate the charging cord which would be very helpful when traveling.

Unbelievable Headphones/Overpriced

Dr. Dre Headphones have become the most popular brand of headphones since their inception in 2008. They have become a symbol of quality and style. This societal incorporation has allowed for prices to skyrocket. When buying Dr. Dre Beats, one should remember that part of the price tag is not based on sound quality or even build quality. Most reviews saying Dr. Dre Beats products are "the best headphones ever" are a result of one's first purchase of a high quality headphone. The first time you put on a pair of these headphones you will be absolutely blown away. The sound will be incredible and even for those who do not love music will enjoy listening. This is because the comparison most draw is from the terrible earbuds that come with Apple products for example. Of course a $300 pair of headphones will sound infinitely better than essentially free throw in earbuds from Apple. That being said there is something to be said about the differences between the Beats products. The only pair even remotely worth buying is the Studios. They are the only pair that comes close to being as good as their price indicates. The solo HDs have made strides over the original Solo but are still double the price they should be at $200. The old Studios had a common complaint regarding exaggerating the high and low sounds in music. For example the bass in songs is exaggerated, and most who prefer rap or dubstep genres enjoy it better. However, the vast majority of music (and arguably even rap/dubsteb.etc.) sound much better without exaggerated sounds. This made some draw the conclusion that Beats were terrible and distorting. It is true that an equally good headphones exist at prices ~$175, and they are normally less distorting. Many people are put off by the appearances of those headphones compared to Beats, but if aesthetics are something you can get over I'd suggest exploring other options. For me, I bought these knowing about the cheaper alternatives because of how cool these are. They are much smaller than old Studios and most other high quality headphones. They look absolutely incredible and are SO comfortable. They fit perfectly over the ear and will be comfortable for hours. The new Studios have improved sound quality a great amount and reduced distortion enough to satisfy the most hardcore audiophile, but not enough to put off a bass enthusiast. These are now rechargeable! The old ones had to take AAA batteries and replacing them was more than annoying. The new ones need an hour to fully charge and they last 20 hours of use before the battery runs out. The new beats are also much less fragile than the old pairs (especially in the headband) and are overall a great product. I cannot say I regret buying these for any reason.

This is my first Beats purchase. I am a radio DJ and made the purchase on the recommendation of my co-workers. Before the Beats Studios I had some Sanheizers. They sounded really good too. So good in fact that if I tried to listen to regular headphones the sound quality took a huge dump. The new studios are way better then the original in the bass department. Also, the trebble is impressive as well. The one complaint I have is depending on the music you listen to, some backup vocals can sound hollow. I listened to Christina Aguleria's Candy Man and it was noticeable. The active noise cancelling does not shut out sound completely, but when listening to any music at regular volume I was able to shut out my neighbors party next door completely. If you use it without listening to audio you will hear a buzz in them. Not severe but noticeable Overall, it was not near as bad as the haters online say. Please listen to the headphones and make the decision for yourself instead of listening to the 'so called audiophiles' Two more things here. I am an audiophile. Literally, I deal with audio for a living. They sound fine to me and I have good hearing. Second, if you like your instruments. Then these are the phones for you. Seriously, the headphones will let you rediscover your music collection as far as insturments and effects are concerned.

I am an owner of the first version of the studio headphones and these 2.0's are definitely a vast improvement! Let's start with the annoying battery requirement of the version 1's- gone at last with the 2.0's; these have a rechargeable battery and a USB adapter is included to charge them up whenever you need. They are also designed to turn off when you unplug the cord from the headset to preserve battery life- GENIUS! To turn them on, plug in the cord, and VOILA! You get beats packed sound. Second improvement- size and fit: these are so much more comfortable! I have worn mine for 6 hours straight and haven't felt that annoying head ache that I get from some headphones. The ear cups are snug and noise cancelling. Really, the 2.0's are a beaut and they feel sleek but still deliver a nice punch for us color hungry headphone wearers (i bought red) :)

I wanted to buy a pair for a while, when I got them I was happy I like the sound canceling that the beats have. As soon as you put the cord in the head set the canceling kicks in only thing if you like me and ride the train to work you can hear the announcer tell you about your stop or news but you also don't hear the train sounds. Music sounds good and so is the bass

These are very nice headphones the humming noise people talk about with the adaptive noise cancelling doesn't really seem to bother me you won't even notice it unless you're in a very quiet room overall sound quality is nice headphones feel really great they are definitely worth the money. I have the old studios and I have to be 110% percent they are not worth upgrading to the 2.0 if you don't have headphones and are looking for a nice pair definitely going to studio 2.0 but for $300 you're not getting a huge difference from the old ones they tend to keep sound in a little better noise cancelling is a tad bit better definitely a better design $300 for an upgrade? Definitely not

Broken in under 6 months

Adding the second star is only because the sound is pretty good. But... First of all, know that the battery (which is needed for these to work at all) isn't very capable. If you accidentally leave the headphone cord it, it drains the battery. Nice. Not. Secondly, my son is VERY careful with his equipment, and in fact these headphones never left our living room. But by simply taking them off one day, one entire ear piece simply snapped off. When you look at what connects the earpiece to the headband, you'll see why this isn't surprising. But what is surprising is that the warranty doesn't cover this. With less than 6 months of occasional usage. And even though I didn't buy our other son's Beats through Walmart, they, too have crapped out in about 6 months, though this time it was the internal electronics. Definitely no more Beat$ for us.

Good fit but A lot of Static Noise

I figured i'd give these a try because i was looking for a pair that wouldn't hurt my ears after 10 mins of listening. The fit is good and they are comfortable for a long period of time but my 1 major complaint is that i could here static noise in them. I would have to turn them up really loud to drown out the static noise but that is not what i want with them. I listen to my music at a comfortable level even then i can still here a lot static noise with my music.

The entire time, beginning with my search filters, I was under the impression that these were wireless headphones. So I'm extremely disappointed. I purchase Powerbeat wireless earbuds as well, which were perfect and color coordinated. But on the Studio ones, they came in blue, but everything else from the case to the cables were read and black.
