I purchased this for my 89 year old Mom who has a hospital bed in her bedroom. After reading the great reviews, I decided to try this brand/style. It came within a week and after the first night, my Mom called to say she had not slept so well in a long time. This mattress topper added much needed comfort to a very hard, flat mattress.
With issues to my neck and back I needed a softer mattress and this served the purpose. I was afraid that our sheets would not fit adding another 35". We have used the deep pocket sheets and they fit with no problem. The only down side is that the Matt Foam topper has a bad smell when use take it out of the box. We let it lay out for a day and the smell was gone.
I bought this product because my newer mattress is sagging where my husband and i sleep. I have been waking up with terrible backaches. The mattress company has sent someone out to measure the indentations and they are 11/2 inches. All they would do was replace the box spring. Anyway, since I bought this topper I no longer have backaches. The bed is now extremely comfortable. Excellent product. As others have mentioned there is a chemical smell but the more i air it out the smell is disappearing. I remove the bedding and open the windows. I am very happy with purchase and wish I had gotten this sooner.
having bad luck with items like this I was shocked and surprised with this. I unfolded it and fit it under the cover on my air bed, It fit perfectly and had no smell of any kind. It was a joy to lay on as my back and knees are bad shape. I napped 4 hrs with no pain, next night same and I expect the same each night. If using on a true airbed it will need to be fully inflated for the topper to work correctly. I have nothing bad to say about item or wal-mart to store shipping.
I can't afford a new mattress right now and saw this topper and decided to get it. Best deal ever! It looks a little funny at first, and please be sure to place it where you want it BEFORE you open the package! It shoots out of the package like a balloon! Its extremely comfortable and has a lot of weight for a foam topper. Best sleep I've had in months. On a side note, my two small dogs didn't like the grooves...kept getting their paws stuck in them lol. If the grooves bother you, you can get a mattress cover and that works well. Another thing is I have a full size bed and full size sheets will NOT fit right over this topper. They kept slipping off the mattress. I purchased queen sized sheets and now no problem at all. All in all great value, and it doesn't get hot like other foam pads do. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
I finally woke up and realized what all the fuss over the 'mattress pillow' craze is all about. I used to wake up with my legs and hips hurting but this has cured that problem. This thing is wonderful. I put my mattress cover over it so there's no need for its own cover. It definitely adds thickness to the mattress which has been a problem with some of my fitted sheets, but I can live with that! It's stupid to complain about anything so essentially unnecessary (when people are dying in tsunamis and such) so I won't. I'll just say, as a fact, that since it's so wonderfully plush, maneuvering around in bed can be a little cumbersome but how trivial can one get. Thank you Beautyrest !!!
I suppose this Foam Topper would be perfect for people who want to sink into their mattress a little more than I do. The description stated it was firm but I found it anything but that. If you are looking for something soft and cushioning this will work. I needed a topper that could support my neck and shoulder area and this topper didn't do that.
I really loved the thickness & comfort of this topper. However, my husband who has some real health issues, was not as taken with it. It made it difficult for him to set on the edge of the bed and dress. After two weeks we decided to remove it. Oh my! The king size topper came shrink wrapped in a small box. Be aware once it is out of the box and the cells fill with air, it is becomes a monster to handle. I tried everything just to get it out of the bedroom. My husband wasn't able to help me. By the time I wrestled it down the hall and into another bedroom I felt like I went a couple of rounds with a boxer. Once I pulled it into the room and left go of it it flew open and is lying there. I don't know what do with it now. Hopefully I can find someone in my family who wants it and is willing to help remove it. There is no way it will ever go back in a box!
The cuts of the foam are shallow compare to the old one I purchased three years ago. It feels too firm for my like.
very comfortable but about 5 inches short width wise... i wouldn't have a single complaint if it was the right size all around... i gave it a two star because having it be 5 inches short in width makes it a pain falling into the little hole in between the wall and mattress topper... but it sure is comfortable... never slept better
