I just received my lights and am waiting for my hubby to install them for me. 2 ideas I have are to incorporate them into a rustic chandelier-type lighting fixture to go over my new countertops in our kitchen. I love how the lights are made, they look like "real" cast iron bulbs but are actually plastic. They will be much lighter that actual cast iron so I'm pleased as punch about that. My photos below are what I am hoping to do with them. Please let me know if you've actually incorporated your lights into a fixture and any tips you might have.
I ordered this 15 count set of Edison Bulb string lights to hang in my living room by my fireplace. This set of bulbs is made from a hard plastic instead of glass which I prefer. They are very durable. I like that they were only a 15 count because that is all I need for that area. They put off ample amount of light and really add to the farmhouse style I have in my home. I would absolutely recommend this product for the price. Great buy!!
These are a great light set I put them outside and am getting more for inside Above my bed, They have a great source of lighting for any room or porch Highly recommend this to anyone it's a great gift for any college students dorm room.
Put these around my pool! Beautiful
I really like the lights. When first received I noticed the bulbs were plastic and thought they seemed a little cheap but as I was putting them up I was glad since I banged them on the deck and accidentally stepped on them. They didn't break! Each light has a hole above it which makes it easy to use for hanging. They span about 22 ft in length. They give off a nice warm white light and a great ambiance to any outdoor space. I want to buy more now!
I was very pleased with the look of my front yard with the lights hanging from my porch to the trees. All my neighbors have stopped by to say how great they look. I like the fact the bulbs are LED so it doesn't use as much electricity as many of the other brands do.
The Better Homes and Garden 15 count Edison lights are pretty cool. I think my favorite feature is that the light bulbs actually unscew and can be replaced. Here are some additional features: * Included is 2 year limited warranty. * There are 15 bulbs on one string. The string measures 21.5 feet long. One string includes a plug that goes into the wall and a "socket" on the other end to connect to another string. Up to 16 strings can be connected for a total of 320 ft. * This string of lights can be used inside or outside (indoor/outdoor). * The bulbs are plastic and shatterproof. * Certified UL * I had the string plugged in for more than an hour and the bulbs were not hot to the touch. * Included is a free 1 year subscription to the Better Homes and Garden magazine. Very nice string of lights. They look bright and cheerful!
I have a pretty large back yard and so these just happened to be a part of my yard décor. There are 15 bulbs on a string, the string itself is 21.5 ft. I have placed these on a part of my fence to see what they would look like when lit up, and they look pretty good, so good that in fact I am thinking about purchasing another 2 boxes to finish off decorating the rest of the backside of my fence. What I really really love and appreciate about these lights is that they are plastic not glass. YES plastic! So much better than glass bulbs, unlike glass they will not break and will last for a long time as they are shatterproof. You can actually connect up to 16 sets of these together which is pretty amazing. The color when lit up is a warm white color, which I feel is very romantic and beautiful for outdoors. There is also a perk with buying these bulbs, you get an absolutely free subscription to a Better Homes and Gardens magazine for 1 full year, who doesn't like free magazines subscription? I do! The only thing that I wish was different about this product is I wish they were LED bulbs for energy saving, other than that it is a great product.
This string of 15 LED Edison warm white bulbs are made in Cambodia of plastic and seems to be pretty durable as others have mentioned. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Nice warm white color 2. Nicely designed to be connected together. When you loop the cords around each other (as a strain relief so they do not unplug) and connect them together, the distance between the bulbs just about matches the distance between the rest so the junction is less noticeable and you maintain a uniform spacing (A little less stress for the OCD folks ;o) 3. They use very little power. They are rated at 12 watts per string (0.8 watts per bulb) that's pretty good but I plugged it into my "kill a watt" (see photo) and it was only drawing 9.3 watts( .62 watts per bulb) 4. The bulbs produce a significant amount of light, they are brighter than I expected for an Edison style bulb. That may be a pro or a con depending on what you are looking for. 5. The box included a free 1 year subscription to Better Homes and Gardens 6. there is a 2 year limited warranty 7. Bulbs are made of shatterproof plastic. While they are more prone to scuffs and scratches, they are not going to break from getting banged around. Cons: 1. I read other reviews regarding not being able to get replacement bulb so I tried searching online and have yet to find them. I am not saying you find them but they don't seem to be easy to find at the very least so I hope they last a long time. This may turn out to be a major problem but not yet. I knocked off a star for this and if the bulbs don't last and I can't find more it will knock some more off. There are no details on the warranty but I am guessing that does not cover bulbs. 2. I did not knock any stars off for this but the filament in these "Edison" style bulbs are so bright that they really just look like regular bulb not the old fashioned Edison bulbs but they do give more light as I mentioned above so it depends on what you are looking for. 3. Where the wire enters the bulb socket is not waterproof. Water will definitely enter down along the wire inside the housing. The housing can be opened by removing one screw to inspect. I can't say for sure if this will cause a problem. I opened the housing and could see where the metal was visible so corrosion could occur over time, perhaps. It may not be any worse than your average Christmas lights, but these seemed to be better than the average Christmas lights until i noticed that. This could reduce the star rating in the future as well if they stop working due to corrosion.
I ordered these lights this morning (3/13/23) for delivery this afternoon. They were delivered on time. The problem is the tape on the top of the package was pulled loose and there are 2 bulbs missing. I really like the lights...they're plenty bright. The employees who pull these orders really need to make sure packages have not been opened.
