Our sense of smell is often linked with memory. Strong scents can often trigger memories of our past, both good and bad memories. When I smell freshly baked bread, I remember a street my mom frequently drove down when I was a child. There was a bread-making factory on that street, and I can remember my sisters and me trying to breathe in that smell whenever we drove past that factory. My need to invoke good memories is why I enjoy melting scented wax. My favorite time of year is Halloween through Christmas. During that time, I enjoy melting apple and pumpkin scented wax. It makes my home smell like something is always baking in my oven. The Better Homes and Gardens Farm Apple & Pumpkin Wax Melt has a much stronger scent than a regular apple and pumpkin scented candle, and the scent is divine. When I feel a bit melancholy, I will melt my “holiday” scented wax to evoke those good feelings the holidays give me. As much as I love this wax, I do have one caution for you. Do not order it in the summer if you live in a hot location. Go directly to Walmart to pick it up. I live in Arizona, and when I got home and picked up the package on my doorstep, I knew exactly which of my most recent purchases had arrived. The box smelled so good. However, when I opened it, I realized that it had partially melted, and there was wax all over the bubble wrap and the outside of the product container.
This Better Homes & Gardens wax cubes puts a great smell in my house! Melts easily In a wax warmer. This leaves my room smelling so good! The smell is of pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, orange and maple butter all in one! Makes me think of fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas. And the smell is strong but not overly strong. And it lingers for awhile even after my wax warmer is turned off which I love! I am gonna purchase a couple more for gifts. This would make a great gift idea! I highly recommend!
The apple smell is sweet, but not too sweet, and the pumpkin smell is light. It does smell really festive for the winter holidays. This scent is my absolute favorite.
The wax smell delicious, I'm not a pumpkin fan but the apple scent is the stronger of the scents in my opinion. I would recommend these if your into this type of home goods product but I wouldn't go out and buy the warmer and expect it to mask every smell, such as hospital type odors or pets. The downside is mine was shipped in Aug it wasn't really hot maybe mid 80s but my wax melted and seeped thru the packaging ending up partially on the bubble wrap of the box. Other than that problem I am happy with the item.
These was melts are easy to work with and they smell wonderful. It really smells like fall around here. When they're melted, the odor is really strong. We can't wait to try another scent.
