This Fire Pit is amazing! This is the 2nd one we bought. 1st one we used for 5 years. The only reason we bought another one was the metal mesh at the top was deteriorating. It still worked just Fine. I also had a motive for buying another one. I took the bottom copper piece with the stand and made it into a solar fountain. It's Awesome! The round copper top and the middle copper piece I made into a flower pot. I glued the small round piece to the small opening and then turned it over and put dirt and a plant in it.
Absolutely love my chimenea. Recommendation to anyone who buys, drill some holes along the bottom part of the belly as well as underneath. It will help fuel your fire. Otherwise it doesn't get enough oxygen and takes super long to ignite.
The Better Homes & Garden Copper Chiminea is easy to assemble. It has a good weight to it yet it's not too heavy to move around when needed. It is easier to move by separating the different parts if you have strength or mobility issues. It's much bigger than it looks in photos so it really puts off some good heat since you are able to add more wood to it than most small fire pits. I like that it is completely screened in so embers don't fly around in the air. The acces door is a bit off but not bad enough to keep it from closing and opening as needed. It will be interesting to see how the patina of the copper changes with heat being applied to it especially since it is mixed with steel and iron. I'm only familiar with copper kitchen sinks and pennies and I know the look of the copper is always changing! I like that it comes with a very nice cover to put over it when not in use to protect it from the elements. If you are looking for style and functionality I highly recommend this Chiminea!
I absolutely love my new Better Homes and Garden copper chiminea fire pit! It's so cozy and romantic. It's made of copper and steel on the outside. On the inside, it's made of copper and iron. The chiminea burns wood safely. It comes with two wood grates. It also comes with a very nice cover to protect against the elements. A lid lifter is also included. The chiminea is a little over 3ft tall so it's a great size for outdoor fun. I love the design! I've received multiple compliments on how pretty it is. It was super easy to set up. I highly recommend it.
This fire pit is great! It is pretty heavy so be aware. The screen is nice for catching any loose embers. It had a screen up at the top so you get warmth from the bottom and the top which is really neat! It comes with a case to store in. It's about 3-4ft tall. It's a really great addition to our home! Makes our outdoor area that much better!! Can't say enough good things about it. It's probably the nicest most unique fire pit I've ever owned.
The item is actually very pretty, but it was hard to assemble the legs onto the ring due to the drilled holes not lining up exactly in the separate parts. Additionally, the black metal screen door does not close flush, so there is a large gap (almost 1") where embers will be able to escape through. Initially the company said they could send me some replacements for the poorly constructed screen and a leg that is all scratched up, but I have not hear from them for several days now (no email reply anymore), so I plan to return this unit to Walmart and not repurchase it. In the picture there is a side and top view of the gap when the door is supposedly closed (this is without the copper top put on yet). I feel like sparks and embers can escape through this large gap. It is annoying that this (cheap) hardware cannot close flush. Other than that, this product is actually pretty nice for the price. That is why I would rather just get a replacement screen instead of returning this large, heavy product to the store. Well....I have 90 days to get this resolved, but I will not wait that long.
I absolutely love this fire pit. The hammered copper is so pretty and shiny. Before we used it, there was dew on the ground which got on a apiece of the copper top. Within just a few hours, there were green steaks from where the water dripped. The initial fire was very nice. The copper colors started changing quickly. Now there are all sorts of neat colors everywhere. It's so beautiful! The only thing that I was really disappointed with was the base assembly. The screw holes were off in several places. I wasn't able to secure all of them, but enough to thankfully use it once. My partner is a welder by trade so I'm hoping that he will fix it for me. I like that I comes with two differently-sizes grates and a hook to be able to close the door when it is hot. Overall, I do recommend this product.
First of all the base would not assemble, the holes were drilled incorrectly so i used my old base and got an adjustment. The most disappointing part was when we burned our first fire the beautiful copper finish faded and turned kind of flourescent! Not good. loved the shape and everything but quality not good! When we put the fire pit together it was absolutely beautiful. Easy to assemble. See first photo. After ONE small fire, we now have an ugly blob of a fire pit. See second %26 third photos. Complete waste of money. Look elsewhere. Do not make this choice. I always read reviews before purchasing, and nobody mentioned this. I am here to tell you this is real. Real ugly.
