PROS: Long lasting, calming aroma, instant aroma release within one minute of lighting. CONS: Aroma is too gentle. This candle right here has been wonderful - I wish it wasn't a limited edition. For its price, in comparison to other candles I purchase, has been a wonderful addition to my apartment. The scent of this candle is very soothing to the mind, body, and soul. This candle has lasted me a month and three quarters so far in light of the fact that I burn all my candles for 4 hours a night in my apartment. I have about a week left of life to burn on this candle which means the candle has a life span of two months. I have one candle to every living space in my apartment and out of all of my candles, this candle has a more soft aroma and is slightly overpowered by one of my candles in another living area in my apartment. If you are looking for a long lasting, pocket friendly, soft, and holiday-friendly candle, this candle is absolutely perfect for you.
I bought two of the Better Homes & Gardens 13 Oz. Jarred Candles. These have a special tag on them citing that they are Better Homes & Gardens "Best Candle Ever" as far as scent concentration. I purchased mine in Vibrant Spring Morning and Sun-Lit Wild Herbs, both green-hued candles. While I seemed to be able to smell them in the store, once home you had to stick your nose right in the opening to even get a hint of the scent as I passed it around to family members. We later lit both of them thinking that would release the scent, but no, it simply smelled like candle. Like you knew a candle was burning, but it was for utilitarian (light) use only. I wanted to return these candles, but since they were lit already, and it was a hassle, I chose to keep them for decorative or utilitarian lighting purposes. A real rip off, especially from the Better Homes & Gardens name, a magazine I subscribe to. If you want a REAL candle try Pacifica brand, found in health food stores or online. They are smaller, cost a little more but come in sophisticated scents and smell terrific whether or not they are being lit. As for the BH&G Candles? Unless you are really in love with the packaging, (some of which are very cute!) or color of the candle itself, pass on them.
