I received this vacuum as a gift before I went to college. I have had it for about 5 years now. I have never had a problem with it. As long as you make sure the bag is not full, it will never lose suction. My college roomate bought one of these for her first vacuum after we graduated. I have since bought one for my grandma because I cannot stand using bagless vacuums (they never work as well as ones that take bags) and I am getting one for my mom for Christmas.
Purchased this vacuum two months ago and couldn't be happier!! I've used an Oreck for 5 yrs., and was very apprehensive to purchase such a cheap vacuum. But, after reading all the reviews I had to test it myself. This vacuum has great suction and moves smoothly from hard surface to carpet! I can't believe such a inexpensive vacuum can work so well!!! I would definitely recommend it!
I buy Bissells everytime I buy a vaccum, i have used several bagless and they do not work they dont keep power and they lose sucksion dirt flys every where with a bagless, and they really dont last that long, Ive bougt only 2 of these (no lie) in the last 15 years and still running powerfull, ive even sucked a tube sock up in the hose after almost 6 years of using it, Ive used a Kirby and they really dont run like this, i proved that to a Kirby salesman no joke,I will never buy a bagless or another brand ever again!!! buy it you will love it!!! with no regrets
love this vacuum...great color and a great price...this purchase was my second of the same exact vacuum. bought the old one in 2007 and it is still going strong...only reason we got a new one is because of the purple color and we needed one for upstairs and downstairs since moving to a bigger house..this is a product i would definitely recommend!!!
I have been buying vacuum's and being pay a high price, because I thought the more you pay the better the vacuum. So when my $300 vacuum quit working I thought I am going to go with a cheaper price. I am very happy with my vacuum I would recommend to everyone.
I have had this vac since 2002. I LOVE it! I live in a 2 story home and needed another one for the 2nd floor so my mom bought me a "better" one for $109. It is JUNK compared to this one. I use my Bissell Power Force several times a day. I have a daycare in my home so the vacuum definitely sees its share of dirt. It has great suction. It will suck up anything. I will never buy a different brand ormodel. I am going out right now to Wal Mart to get another Bissell Power Force, I am replacing mine only because mine is so old and looks rough from being dropped down the stairs many, many times! It literally works as good as it did the day I bought in 2002! I definitely recommend the Power Force over any expensive vacuum. Also, I had several bagless vacuums over the years because I want to have one on each story of my house. (I decided to try the bagless because of a recommendation from my doctor, I have asthma & bad allergies) Bagless vacuums are a waste of money! Go with this vacuum!
My mother has this vacuum already so I knew that it was a freat product already. I bought a purple one online because I loved the color. This vacuum isn't very heavy really light. It is very durable. I like that it has a quick cord release (you turn the top knob that holds the cord and the cord comes off). The hose is already attached to the vac's compressor so all you have to do is pull it off and use.
I would and have bought this vac again and again!! First for all, it's less than $40 and it seriously lasted me 6 YEARS! For a $40 vac, that's fabulous! It actually still works the handle just doesn't stay up on it's own anymore, so for $40 I bought another and made that one my "basement vac." Also, my mom has bought one for her house after using it at my house! I would certainly recommend this vac.

I won one of these Bissell vaccums at a picnic about 5 years ago. It does a pretty good job. I have 3 cats and it picks up the hair left behind on the couch and the litter that falls onto the carpet by the box when they leave the litter box. It's pretty tough and has only recently had one injury...the foot release doesn't lock. But for what it has gone through, yes, I would recommend this item to anyone.
