I just got this vacuum today since my 10yr old Eureka died a few nights ago :( I looked around online for reviews, and asked friends before settling on this one. My co-worker & my best friend both have this model, and it is also the one we use in our office. The price is great, and very near the amount I pay yearly to have my old vacuum serviced. I've only had it today, and used it once, so I can't give my personal experience with durability, but the above mentioned people have had theirs for 3+ and 1+ years, respectively, with no problems whatsoever. I had my carpet professionally cleaned 1 week ago today, and have vacuumed once since then, yet when I used this today I couldn't believe how much stuff it sucked out of my carpet! I have 3 cats and a dog and I see no left behind hairs. It doesn't seem to be any louder than any other vacuum I've used, and emptying the canister was simple. I am completely satisfied with this vacuum thus far.
I looked this product up on consumer reports and decided to try it out since the price was right. It has exceeded my expectations and I've recommended it to many friends. I have a central vacuum and it wasn't doing the job. After vacuuming one room with the Bissel I had to empty the bagless container! (The suction is so powerful, even with the attachments.) I would definately recommend this & with the Wal-mart price it is reallly a no-brainer!
I have 2 dogs and 4 cats who shead like no tomorrow I honestly dont know how they still have hair. LOL. This Vaccume is amazing it picked up everything with ease it did so much better than expected. I did not know how you can be so discusted with all the stuff it picked up but yet so happy.
My husband and I were looking for a good inexpensive vacuum. We bought this one. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 rabbits = a LOT of fur! This thing picks up EVERYTHING! Its easy to clean and durable. My mom and dad have used a shop vac for years to vacuum their home. I brought this over and cleaned their floors. My mom was so impressed with its performance, she bought one herself! Highly recommended. The only downfall is the suction for the attachments... It doesn't seem very strong.
I love this Vacuum Cleaner. Picks up very well. Not that noisy. Good attachments with it. Very good quality and the price is excellent.
i have not had this long, but it was easy to put together, and has cleaned up really well so far. my mom had this vaccumm and had the same problem as other people here have, and it was becuase she did not clean out the filters. they finally got cleaned out after a year and the vacumm picked up suction again, not 100% bc there was other clogs but i would suggest to clean the filters every so often if u buy this
I've had this vacuum for about 5 years now, and I've always been very happy with it. As with any bagless, you have to clean the filters often or it will lose suction. But if you maintain it, it will suck all kinds of dirt and gunk from your carpets. Does not work well on hard floors, but works wonders for carpet.
I have owned this product for about 6 months now. It worked great the first month or so but after that not so great! The suction tubing curls upward from underneath the product and is CONSTANTLY stopped up. It does not have the suction power to suck the dirt up the hose into the chamber. Instead it gets stuck in the tubing and after about 3 or 4 strokes back and forth you have to stop, turn the vacuum upside down, and bang the debris out! Then you have to pick it up the best you can with your hand and discard because like I said it can not suck it up.I have owned vacuums that I bought from yard sales that worked better! This is my first brand new vacuum, and I AM SOOOO DISAPPOINTED!
I purchased this to "deep clean" our previous home after moving out, and felt that any vacuum would do - and WalMart was the closest store. Oh was I wrong! Overall performance started out very good. The dirt cup filled up quickly, which demonstrated how much more suction this had over the old Kenmore that we used there. But performance deterioration sharply, even when cleaned out very well (a very messy task), which is a must with bagless vacs. I cleaned each filter, made sure everything was right - but the second time I used it, it stirred up more dust than it could suck in. Thankfully, WalMart customer service was excellent, and they gladly accepted this unit back. Overall I've been pleased with Bissel products, but it looks like bagless isn't such a good idea at the low-end level. Replaced it with a Bissel bag type, that still works well today.
I have owned this vacuum for about a year. It clogs all the time, even when pulling up a minimal amount of hair and other particles. I have to take it apart about once a month and pull out a basketball size amount of crud. It never makes it to the holding tank because it doesnt have the suck power to get it all the way up the tube. Buying a new one this week.
