The grass trimming shears on this model made cutting back our ornamental grasses so quick. Last year with a hand trimmer, took three days to get it done. This year, took about forty five minutes and that included the clean up. Haven't tried the hedge trimmer yet, but it should do just as well. The unit has a lot of power when charged according to the directions. Glad I bought it.
I like this to trim up my large hedges over my full size hedger. It stays charged for a very long time; I can do my whole yard on one charge. I just bought the optional extender handle and now I love it even more. Works great. Easy to use.
the item works very good for small jobs, I owned one ( another brand) that Lasted over 10 years. I enjoy working in my yard and it helps a lot for touch ups between my lawn person coming, and it helps cut down on cost of small jobs, that I would have to pay him for. After the first one, I can't do without having this item
I Purchased the Black & Decker shear, and I am very happy with it. Being a female I did not want to use a weed wacker, I wanted something smaller and easy to handle. I brought it home, charged it, and used it the next morning. It cut through the grass like it was hot butter, and also had no problm cutting through larger, hefty weeds. I used it for probably a total of 30 minuets and it never lost the charge.

since my stroke I'm always looking for products I can use with 1 hand as I am very independent and don't like to ask for help. I enjoy working in my yard and this product allows me to trim my own shrubs safely and with ease. I was really surprised how long it worked on one charge, I trimmed 13 shrubs before having to recharge!
B&D Cordless Shear work well. Used it to trim arround cedar swingset instead of using weed trimmer which can damage cedar. It cut through thick grass but did have to do a couple of passes. Charge lasted longer than I expected and was able to trim other places as well.
After 12 hour charge I could only get a little over an hour usage out of shear.Needs a replacement battery not a built in. The optional handle should be included, just bump up the price. The shrubber doesn't do a very good job. Overall needs a bigger battery (18.0v).
A very difficult product to work with. The interchangeable heads are very hard to remove. You have to hit it from the back edge of the trimmer head and you might get lucky and release it. The grass trimmer head blade does not cut well or last long. The hedge trimmer head does do a good job and is handy for small projects. Battery life is good.
