AWESOME IRON!

I love this iron. It heats up quick and irons the clothes so well I don't even need any starch! It flattens out even the "permanent" wrinkles that are supposed to be in my girls jeans! Hold on though, literally, the steam shot on mine is so powerful the iron jumps up off the board. I can hang a sweater and use the steam shot to de-wrinkle from a verticle position too. Love, Love, Love it!

Amazing Iron!

Reading the negative reviews on this iron has me baffled! Ive had this for a year and have never had a problem with it at all...And as far as not having enough heat/steam, I must have gotten the super sized one because mine steams like theres no tomorrow and heats up in less than a minute. I iron clothes for work everyday and this works amazing...Im somewhat of an iron/wrinkle freak and have owned an expensive rowenta iron and this blows it away, for 25 bucks you cant go wrong..like I said, maybe I got one that was an exception but I love this iron

Easily break down

I bought this iron about a year ago and 5 months later after only a few uses, the iron decided to stop working. I thought it was because of the automatic shut down feature. I tried to move it (just like what the manual said) and waited for half an hour. Still it doesn't do anything. I called Black and Decker Service phone number to get a replacement since it is still under warranty. Short story, they gave me a slightly lower model (and cheaper too) and it yesterday the replacement iron also decided to stop working just like the first one. Unbelievable! If you're thinking of getting this iron, I recommend you to pay a little more for iron and get other brand.

incessant beeping

This iron worked like any other good iron I have purchased in the past. What I particularly didn't like was the constant beeping each time it was going to turn off. I sew for a living and while sewing I keep the iron on, I like the feature that turns off the iron when not in use, what I couldn't work with was the incessant beeping prior to turning off while I was sewing , it was distracting and therefore annoying. Within 7 days I exchanged it for a quiet model. ahhhh, now I can work in peace!

B&D Steamexpress Iron

I owned this iron less than a year and it has quit working already. I've tried everything to get it to stay on but it won't. Then when you're not expecting it to come on it does. It does not get very hot at all! I was very disappointed in it.

Lack of Steam

I bought this particular product because it had features that said it would do it all. You barely get any steam at all. Not enough steam to do vertical steaming or to even clean it. Very disappointed

Nice Looking Paperweight

I bought this product because it claimed 1400Watts thinking it would provide more heat than the usual 1200 watt units. It also has a larger surface area than other irons. Unfortunately, either the iron was defective or simply just does not produce much heat (judging from other reviews, it is probably the latter). It might be fine if all you ever iron is light-weight synthetics, but does not do well on cotton or heavy fabrics. Another annoying flaw is that it seems that while the unit has an "auto off", the heat control knob provides no "off" setting. While you can turn the knob all the way down, it seems that the unit still thinks it's on, the light is on, though it is not producing any noticible heat. So, after 10 minutes of inactivity it will beep, and then turn itself fully off. But then, if you move the unit, even with the knob all the way down, it will light up again, even though it may not be producing any heat. This is really annoying because if you want to leave the iron plugged in when not in use, you just really can't tell what it's doing.

Avoid this one.

Purchased this model less than a year ago, it decided to quit working in the same manner as other reviewers have mentioned. Not worth the trouble trying to garner replacement or refund, since the receipt is long gone. My vote is with a different manufacturer.

Shabby Iron

After using this iron for less than a few days, there was barely any heat. The starch buildup was unreal. You'd have to keep a damp cloth next to you and rub the iron on the towel after every other piece of clothing; otherwise, face the problem of trying to get the stains out of your clothing.
