I used this coating on my RV fold out steps and it is the only product that has held up for a season of travel. I also used it on my truck frame and undercarriage and it is holding up great and preventing rust.
I used truck bed coating on the inside of my Jon Boat. I put 1 1/2 foam board in the bottom and cover it with old road signs from junk yard. To keep it from getting slick I put a medium coat of spray on all the shiny aluminum. I now have two more friends that want help doing this to theirs. I could not be any more happy with your product than if you would have done it for me. armyguy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Worked fantastic, got 4 cans to cover the rocker panels and fenders on our 4Runner. The cans did get clogged towards the end but sprayed fine upside down at that point. The texture and color is exactly what I wanted.
I used it as undercoating, I didn't go thick with it but did a great job and the bottom of the car looks great
Dove always makes good products
I used about 5 cans of this stuff to coat my bumpers and rocker panels on my Jeep and loved it. Not sure I would use it on a truck bed and expect it to be as good as a commercial spray-in, but for lighter duty applications it's good. Just make sure you properly prep your surfaces before application and use an even spray with multiple coats.
More like black spray paint. Very little texture. Maybe slightly better texture than the Krylon that is total crap, but not much. I can't say if how it holds up because I couldn't get past the lack of texture. I'll be switching back to Dupli-Color that has better texture and I know holds up good.
When using these spray cans. The material stops coming out of the can while it's still half full. (of course I'm keeping the valve clean and clear, and shaking frequently) Inverting the can helps a little but at least 1/3 of the cans contents remain, and the coverage is spotty and inconsistent. I had to go out and buy the roll on the complete the project. Save yourself the hassle and just get the roll on.
This isn't a coating at all. It's basically black spray paint. It comes out extremely clearish black and barely coat's anything. Maybe I got a dud but I'm not buying another at $11 a can to find out.
So disappointed in this product. idk if it was old or just plain sucks but again out of 6... 6!!!!... 1 can worked properly and we followed all directions to a T!!!
