I'm very pleased with this. It has a great deal of power, much more than the previous one I had which was rechargeable. Unlike the battery-powered one, this runs for a very long time and can get the job done. Originally I had a 22-inch model. As an older person I find this easier to handle and it does most jobs quickly, without much strain. Black and Decker did a very smart thing by eliminating the cord. An extension wire attaches directly to the equipment. This way if you do end up cutting the cord you just buy a new extension cord. I remember years ago cutting the cord and even when taped, the equipment became mostly inoperable. Since an extension cord does not come with this model, you will have to buy that unless you already have it. It works perfectly fine with a 100 foot cord so it can do most chores around a house.
Owned it for over a month and its doing great job! Great to shape boxwoods. Easy to use. Creates desired shape in minutes.
This is a great hedge trimmer. It's easy to handle and cuts well. It's lightweight.
This trimmer is very light weight and does a great job. The only thing I have found to be a down size is that the safety switch doesn't automatically shut off. One needs to be careful when operating this piece of machinery. Definitely use with caution.
Just what I needed for my overgrown holly and barberry shrubs. Plenty of power, lightweight and cut thru heavy branches easily. Just for smaller stuff, though.
I have had this brand for years and it is the best clippers for your yard that money can buy. The set I was replacing was almost 30 years old and still running. I decided that it needed to be retired since the blades were almost completely worn out. Hope to have at least half the life span of its predecessor.
I have used this Hedge Trimmer twice since my purchase and it is absolutely perfect for my needs. The 17" trimmer is nicely balanced and quite light. Great product for a very modest price.
I am a female, and live alone. This is great for me. I used hand clippers till now and had to stop twice to rest my arms, on one 4 foot round bush. Love it. Recommend it for home ownership.

Just received my Black & Decker 17 inch hedger. As of now I have just used it 2 times so please keep that in mind when reading my review. I am a lady who loves power tools and doing landscaping. This edger is lightweight and easy to handle. I wanted something small and easy to handle since I have little brushes and not very big trees. This hedger was pleasing lightweight and very powerful. Did my front and back bushes with ease and cut through them like butter. I gave it four stars because I would like the hedger to have a cover for the blades when done. Remember to keep two hands on the hedge at all times.
