This is the best value you're going to get for a professional mic without breaking the bank. The directional recording settings make it great for a myriad of uses, be it interviews, recording music, podcasts, etc., you can choose where it picks up sound from. We got this for our gaming Livestream and it's made a world of difference. It's also about $40 cheaper at Sam's than everywhere else.
I purchased this item for my husband, who is an aspiring voice actor. I did a lot of research on this microphone and it is highly rated at many music-tech retailers like sweetwater.com I could not believe I found this at walmart.com, and for a price that beats all the other retailers. This mic has 4 different sound pattern settings, which means you can record pretty much anything you want from any angle. Its also USB, so it does not require a great deal of extra sound equipment and works smoothly with audio editing software like audacity. This is a great deal, and an excellent piece of recording equipment.
Fantastic mic. Makes me a huge fan of Blue with my knowing one of their products.
This Blue Yeti microphone was the easiest piece of equipment that I have ever set up on my computer. Very intuitive operation, and a high quality piece of machinery.
The Yeti is a really great mic, not only in its price range but overall. The quality of sound, the ease of use for adjustments to recording style, and the real-time headphone connection, make this mic a must have for podcasting, voice-over and even recording live music. I paired it with Audacity software and couldn't be happier.
Great mic, and I'm surprised Walmart ha one of the best online prices.
The Blue Yeti USB microphone is plug-and-play in MacOS right out of the box, if you are using it only for input. If you need the built-in headphone jack, it will take some reading to find out how to set it up as both an input and output device, but once you do, you can have zero-latency monitoring. The four pickup patterns are more than most of us will need, but someone will need each of them sometime, so it's a big plus to have them available. The Volume knob on the front controls the headphone jack volume. The Gain knob on the back controls the level going into your computer. 12:00 works for me. If you use this to record audio for video or multitracking, it's necessary to go into your DAW and decrease the size of the buffer because at 512 the delay is very noticeable upon video playback. I went to 128 which yielded ~17 ms of latency, which isn't noticeable with video. I haven't yet found any use for the Logitech G app, but I'm not a gamer. Note also that the Yeti has a 3/4” thread on the bottom for use on a mic stand, or hanging upside down in your podcast studio. Just unscrew the base from the sides of the mic. A studio-quality USB mic that I've been looking at for years. It's finally come down in price and is affordable for a very tiny studio such as mine.
got it for sons birthday.easy to hook up and he loves it
It's good. A really good mic! Picks up sound nicely in a good high quality. On my end, it does seem to auto adjust to a quieter tone when I use it, which isn't all too great, but I can work around that easily.
over priced and echo's a lot seems to be distance orinted to keep tone cannot look around and get the sound its a get a good medium distance from the mic, talk normal and don't try to turn up the speakers connected to the bottom of the mic plug in, the speakers will screem if the volume is turned up over 40% or so.
