So far, so good. My indoor air quality reading is good-excellent despite outside air quality warnings.
I bought this just as the air quality in California got really bad from forest fire smoke. The air purifier has really helped -- outside it's hard to breathe because the smoke is so thick but inside our house the air is quite good. I like the wifi/bluetooth feature that shows the air quality readings in the house.
I have had m y Blueair Classic 480i for a little over a month and it has been life changing for my girlfriend and I. We both suffer from allergies and after the first day we noticed a significant difference in the quality of the air in our apartment. The app is also super cool, we can see in real time the quality of our air in our apartment and in our area. The best part is with the auto setting our Blueair Classic knows when to kick it into high gear to get our air back to excellent quality. Absolutely love this product and we are already looking into purchasing another one.
I bought recently for using in a small wood shop when using wood working tools and wood finishing products . It works great keeping dust down and fumes down . Very Effective!!
This air purifier is sleek and quiet: I like that the air pushes out the sides rather than the top, it's a great unit and is Wi-Fi enabled so I can control it from my phone

I've purchased several blueair air filters over the years and have been happy with them. They do the job well without too much noise… especially if you buy a large enough one for the room to move enough air on a medium setting. I like this model but wish it had a an additional setting. The lowest is whisper quiet, medium is not much louder and doesn't move much more air from what we can tell but the next setting (high) is quite loud. High moves the right amount of air for our worst smoky days here in the west, but another intermediate setting would be a nice choice for the days when the smoke is less intense.
I have five Blueair and really like and trust the brand. I don't like to mess with an air cleaner and I set them all on 1 and leave them running 24/7. One is six years old and still runs great. I have always wondered about the air quality in the house, looked at air quality monitors nad found them too expensive so when I saw that the new Blueair 480i had a "built-in air quality sensor" I bought the unit. THe unit runs great and is very quiet but that air quality sensor is mostly useless. It is built into the bottom of unit and my sits on carpet so all it senses is my carpet. They changed the labels from dust/oder to <2.5/voc but they provide no useful information; I liked the smiley faces better! I will still use my 480i set and 1 and left alone, but don't expect a useful air quality monitor.
The product seems to work just fine nothing, however the app that accompanies it is terrible it was recently updated and it's actually more confusing and less accurate than the previous version when I put in my address it says it's across the street from where it really is when I try to set the location. It also is difficult when it gets disconnected from Wi-Fi to get it back connected the new app interface is very confusing and not easy to use.
Good but the decal on the button panel cover left an awful adhesive residue that I tried to clean off but the cleaning seems to have damaged the cover , so now my brand new filter looks bad :(
